Saludos nuevamente! Espero esten teniendo una bonita semana, el día de hoy presentó mi entrada al concurso de Splinterlands de esta semana, he tenido unos días de pausa y me ha costado un poco adaptarme a mi rutina, pero en fin, quiero hablarles de la carta que escogí esta semana, esta carta elegí semanas atrás y tenía la imagen guardada en el escritorio de mi computador, me encanta el diseño de este personaje llamado Technowizologist, (aunque aun no creo haber hecho justicia al personaje con mi dibujo) me gusto mucho también leer su historia y como resultó siendo el único sobreviviente al ataque de la Legión del Caos y como se ha determinado a buscar venganza desde entonces.
Les mostrare un poco del proceso de esta ilustración, espero que sea de su agrado.

Greetings again! I hope you are having a nice week, today I submitted my entry to this week's Splinterlands contest, I've had a few days break and it's been a little hard to adapt to my routine, but anyway, I want to tell you about the card I chose this week, this card I chose weeks ago and I had the image saved on my computer desktop, I love the design of this character called Technowizologist, (although I still don't think I have done justice to the character with my drawing) I also enjoyed reading his story and how he turned out to be the only survivor of the attack of the Legion of Chaos and how he has been determined to seek revenge ever since.
I'll show you a little bit of the process of this illustration, I hope you like it.

Como imaginarán, primero comencé haciendo el boceto, aunque desde el principio tuve dudas acerca de cual sería la expresión final del personaje, la cual fue cambiando a medida que avanzaba en el dibujo, lo imaginé como un alquimista o científico (realmente es una mezcla entre mago y científicos) encerrado en su laboratorio creando en este caso herramientas, pócimas o algún tipo de avance que les permita tener una ventaja sobre su enemigo para cumplir con sus planes de venganza, use como referencias algunas imágenes que ilustraran esta escena y dibujé a mi personaje.

As you can imagine, first I started making the sketch, although from the beginning I had doubts about what would be the final expression of the character, which was changing as I progressed in the drawing, I imagined him as an alchemist or scientist (really is a mix between magician and scientists) locked in his laboratory creating in this case tools, potions or some kind of advance that allows them to have an advantage over their enemy to fulfill their plans of revenge, I used as references some images that illustrate this scene and I drew my character.

Una vez que terminé el dibujo comencé a colorear, comenzando con el rostro, aun no logró crear una manera eficiente de colorear en otros tonos diferentes, asi que comence con un tono piel grisaceo para luego agregar mas tonos violetas como los que tiene el personaje en la carta.

Luego coloree su cabello blanco, al que le agregue tonos grisáceos para que pareciese una melena plateada, luego comence a colorear el resto de su vestuario compuesto por un chaleco marrón y camisa blanca.

Once I finished the drawing I began to color, starting with the face, I still couldn't create an efficient way to color in other different tones, so I started with a grayish skin tone and then I added more violet tones like the ones the character has in the letter.

Then I colored his white hair, to which I added grayish tones to make it look like a silver mane, then I began to color the rest of his wardrobe composed of a brown vest and white shirt.

Luego fue turno de colorear su mano protesica y la herramienta de mana de su hombro la cuales serían de material metálico brillante, me encanta hacer estas superficies asi que me entretuve un buen pintando estos elementos, tambien modifique un poco los tonos del dibujos, queria hacer mas intensos algunos tonos, enfriar y oscurecer algunos, en este punto ya estaba casi todo listo solo debía hacer la piedra o animal reanimado que iba a dibujar levitando frente a el.

Then it was time to color his prosthetic hand and the mana tool on his shoulder which would be of shiny metallic material, I love to make these surfaces so I had a good time painting these elements, I also modified a little the tones of the drawings, I wanted to make some tones more intense, cool and darken some, at this point I was almost ready, I only had to make the stone or reanimated animal that I was going to draw levitating in front of him.

La expresión final del Technowizologist fue la de una sonrisa muy amplia mientras contempla sus logros, lo cual calza muy bien con la personalidad algo trastocada, como de científico loco del personaje, este ha sido todo mi proceso de creación de este personaje, no me siento del todo satisfecha, pero me gusto y seguramente volveré a dibujarlo en el futuro.

The final expression of the Technowizologist was that of a very wide smile while he contemplates his achievements, which fits very well with the somewhat twisted personality of the character as a mad scientist, this has been my whole process of creating this character, I do not feel completely satisfied, but I liked it and I will surely draw it again in the future.
