Pelacor Mercenary - Splinterlands Art Contest 257

Saludos queridos amigos, espero haya sido una gran semana!

He trabajado algunos días en mi ilustración para esta semana del concurso de Splinterlands esta semana he tenido bastantes conflictos con mis dibujos y en realidad este es mi segundo intento, solo estaba practicando un poco y en ello relacioné mi dibujo con una de las cartas que me ha llamado la atención, se trata de Pelacor Mercenary no había leído su biografía así que fui a leerla y me pareció muy interesante la historia de esto seres, lo cual me animo mucho más, les contaré el proceso de creación de esta ilustración, espero sea de su agrado.

I have been working a few days on my illustration for this week's Splinterlands contest this week I have had quite a few conflicts with my drawings and actually this is my second attempt, I was just practicing a bit and in it I related my drawing with one of the cards that has caught my attention, it is about Pelacor Mercenary I had not read his biography so I went to read it and I found the story of this beings very interesting, which encouraged me much more, I will tell you the process of creating this illustration, I hope it will be to your liking.

Como les comenté al principio estaba más que nada haciendo unas prácticas de figura humana con referencia, me gusto mucho el resultado y de inmediato pensé que podría convertirlo en el personaje alado de las cartas de las cartas de Splinterlands, la biografía de este pelacor en específico me gusto mucho, porque a pesar de ser un sujeto enorme, parece tener una actitud algo dulce y dispuesta al servicio.

Me sentía al principio algo insegura de dibujar las telas, lo sentí como vestir a mi dibujo, fue una práctica muy divertida generar las ropas descritas y mostradas en la carta de este personaje, aunque descarte el chaleco verde.

As I told you at the beginning I was mostly doing some human figure practices with reference, I liked the result a lot and immediately I thought that I could turn it into the winged character of the Splinterlands cards, the biography of this specific pelacor I liked a lot, because despite being a huge subject, he seems to have a somewhat sweet attitude and willing to serve.

I felt at the beginning a little bit insecure to draw the fabrics, I felt it like dressing my drawing, it was a very funny practice to generate the clothes described and shown in the card of this character, although I discarded the green vest.

Posteriormente redibuje nuevamente mi primer boceto, esta vez para hacer todo más limpio además de tener todo el dibujo en una sola capa, luego procedí a colocar cada uno de los colores de mi dibujo en una nueva capa.

Then I redrew my first sketch again, this time to make everything cleaner and to have the whole drawing in a single layer, then I proceeded to place each of the colors of my drawing in a new layer.

En primer lugar me enfoque en el rostro, aunque este surgiría muchos cambios en el proceso posterior de esta ilustración, tenia algunas fallas en el dibujo que comencé a percibir mientras coloreada, igualmente a continuación comencé a dibujar los pliegues en su camisa comenzando con los tonos más oscuros.

First I focused on the face, although this would arise many changes in the later process of this illustration, it had some flaws in the drawing that I began to perceive while coloring, also then I began to draw the folds in his shirt starting with the darkest tones.

Una parte que me gustó mucho durante el proceso de coloreado fue colorear sus brazos, en el dibujo había hecho este elemento con vastante detalle y se me hizo fácil seguir la forma de los músculos mientras colocaba los diferentes tonos.

Luego procedí a colorear las correas en su pecho, que contienen todas sus herramientas y pociones, me tomé la libertad de agregar otra en su pantalón con unos bolsillos muy vistosos.

One part that I really enjoyed during the coloring process was coloring her arms, in the drawing I had done this element with vast detail and it was easy for me to follow the shape of the muscles while placing the different shades.

I then proceeded to color the straps on his chest, which contain all his tools and potions, I took the liberty of adding another one on his pants with some very colorful pockets.

A continuación fue el turno de las alas, para esto cambie el color base que había colocado al principio por un todo de gris matizado con manchas más oscuras y luego usando un tono más claro, pinte cada una de las plumas por separado, proyectando debajo una sombra sobre la siguiente.

Next it was the turn of the wings, for this I changed the base color that I had placed at the beginning for an all shaded gray with darker spots and then using a lighter tone, I painted each one of the feathers separately, projecting underneath a shadow over the next one.

Entre los materiales que más me gusta colorear se encuentra el cuero, por lo que me entretuve bastante en esta área dibujando los cambios de tono, y los elementos metálico encima de este.

Among the materials that I like to color the most is leather, so I spent a lot of time in this area drawing the changes of tone, and the metallic elements on top of it.

Por último, hice las mejoras en el rostro que les comenté anteriormente, solo alargue un poco sus facciones y cambie la dirección de sus ojos y poco a poco adquirió el aspecto que quería mostrar desde el principio, no estaba muy segura del fondo del bosque, pero dibujé luego unas flores en primer plano que me agradaron bastantes y se ajusto mucho mejor la composición.

Finally, I made the improvements in the face that I mentioned before, I only lengthened a little her features and changed the direction of her eyes and little by little she acquired the aspect that I wanted to show from the beginning, I was not very sure about the background of the forest, but I drew some flowers in the foreground that I liked a lot and the composition was much better adjusted.
