| Hello, friends! Last week, despite the intense heat, buttercups (Suillus luteus) appeared. Apparently, they had enough moisture from the rains that fell a week before. Or maybe the morning dew brought enough moisture. Although many mushrooms became dry from the heat, only they came out of the ground. My father was the first to come across these mushrooms, he collected a whole bucket. I went there the next day (or rather went by bike 🙂 ) and I managed to find significantly fewer mushrooms. But it was enough to make a mushroom gravy and to pickle a small jar of young buttercups (these mushrooms are so called because of the oily film that covers the young mushrooms). | Привіт, друзі! Минулого тижня, не зважаючи на сильну спеку, у нас з'явилися маслюки (Suillus luteus). Мабуть їм вистачило вологи від дощів, що випали тиждень перед тим. Або можливо достатньо вологи приносила із собою ранкова роса. Хоча багато грибів від спеки ставали засушеними, тільки вони вилазили із землі. Першим на ці гриби натрапив мій батько, він назбирав ціле відро. Я пішов туди наступного дня (точніше поїхав на велосипеді 🙂), і мені вдалося знайти значно менше грибів. Але цього було достатньо для приготування грибної підливи і для того, щоб замаринувати маленьку баночку з молодими маслюками (ці гриби так називаються через маслянисту плівку, що вкриває молоді гриби). |

Tasty and healthy. Nature provides us with subtle foods, and many go unnoticed due to lack of knowledge. Here in Canada, mushrooms abound and I love them. Blessings from Mother Nature.
Oh, the climate conditions in Canada are very similar to ours in Ukraine, which is why both here and there we have similar types of mushrooms growing!
It'a really amazing how mushrooms has a lot of kind, color and even shape. They are one beautiful but unique creation on earth. I not that familiar with mushrooms, but I love a mushroom in a gravy and pizza ＼(^o^)／. Not sure what kind of mushroom they are though.
Mushrooms grown in greenhouses are mostly added to pizza and up to 90% of dishes with mushrooms. So people know for sure that these mushrooms are safe, because with wild mushrooms there is always a chance to make a mistake, if you are not a very experienced mushroom picker
