Punctual or Unpunctual? He who inherits it does not steal it! WEEK 216
Happy evening everyone, I am grateful to be here with you, to make my entry to the Weekend-Engagement: WEEK 216 topics, moderated by @galenkp, this week with quite interesting topics, but, I felt identified immediately with number 3 : Are you usually late or early? What does punctuality mean to you and how do you think people perceive and respond to it? and, with it I will make my entry!
I'll tell you:
I am aware that punctuality goes hand in hand with respect, because by arriving at the scheduled time you are respecting the time of the other person, I really admire those people who always arrive early or at the scheduled time, unfortunately I am not one of those, I am the opposite, it is something I have struggled with all my life; I do not know, no matter how much I get ready early, always for one reason or another, I am late!
I literally arrive late everywhere, church, work, everywhere, and, it is something that does not make me proud at all, I have been struggling with this for years, I remember that my dad was the same, he was always late, but very late; and sometimes when I was late he would scold me, and I would tell him: he who inherits it does not steal it! That made him laugh a lot, because it gave him the illusion that I was like that because I inherited it from Him!
An anecdote that happened to me a few days ago, I had to go to give some private math classes, and my husband had to do an errand on his motorcycle long before my scheduled time, so I wrote to the representatives that they would send their children early Because I would arrive early, it turns out that my husband was called due to an unforeseen event, he had to leave earlier, I had to leave by public transportation, and guess what? I've arrived late! It's like everything is against me so that I don't arrive early!
I'm not giving up on this situation, because I know it's not right, so I'll keep trying until I achieve it!
That's it for my entry, thanks for reading!
God bless you

I am generally a person who will be a little late to reach any destination. But if I have committed someone for a meet-up then I ensure to be punctual. Punctuality should be taken seriously for a smooth life.

Oh dear friend, we feel the same way about respecting each other and their time. Like you, I don't like to be late, I am one of those who arrive early, but when something happens and I am late, I have to face that frustration and in general I don't take it well at all.
Keep looking to improve in that aspect, maybe one day you will surprise yourself by being early and you will find an extra happiness for something that doesn't define us at all, but it's great to be able to accomplish it.
I agree with you; punctuality means respecting others' effort and time. And I am grateful that I am punctual, and this punctuality leads me to be more productive and organize.
