A fight for leadership
It was a tense night as the people running for leader stood on the stage. This was not a normal leader pick. It was an important fight for the whole community. For many months, neighbors had been arguing and fighting over little things like yards and fences. They had forgotten about the important things that really mattered. But this night, we would choose a new way forward.
One by one, the people running for leader talked about fixing the splits between people and bringing everyone back together. Their strong words touched something deep inside me. I looked around at the faces I knew and remembered the bonds we all share - bonds that fights and arguments could damage, but never fully break.
When the winner was announced, everyone in the room cheered and clapped loudly. But it didn't matter who had won or lost. What mattered was that in that moment, we were all united again under a banner of hope and shared purpose. With new spirit, our tight community had found its strength in being united once more.

I was touched reading this. Chosing a leader is one difficult task that needs utmost care from the entire group. If care is not taken, the group or community may end up with a dictator or tyrant. It's always a thing of Bliss when a good leader is chosen. Lovely writing.
