INICIATIVA. La Democracia. Sistema político en constate evolución. [ESP/ENG]

La democracia se constituyó como un poder político que, tiene como base, la soberanía del pueblo, es decir, que este tiene el control de elegir a quien esta en el poder y que leyes deben ser aplicables. Como todo sistema político, posee sus ventajas y desventajas, que lleva a caer en una falsa democracia.
La Iniciativa: La Democracia propuesta por la comunidad @humanitas, nos lleva a reflexionar este sistema que poco a poco ha ido acrecentándose más dentro de la sociedad moderna, no es algo nuevo, pero, a tomado como un punto más de relevancia dentro de las ultimas décadas y que, claramente se ha provisto de muchos altibajos que han puesto en duda su legitimidad como una buena forma de organización social.
Democracia…
Tiene su origen en la antigua Atenas, cuando los ciudadanos intervenían activamente en las decisiones políticas dentro de la Asamblea, por medio de votos y debates abiertos; estos parámetros se podrían decir que fueron la base de lo que se constituye actualmente “un gobierno democrático” que, a su vez, da origen a otros modelos democráticos que depende en gran medida, de las realidades culturales y sociales.
Sin embargo, como todo sistema político, tiene sus fracturas…
es lo más cercano a una organización social justa y estable, pero, posee sus defectos, donde las personas con pensamientos sumamente alejados a lo que es la democracia, se aprovechan de dichas grietas que tiene. Aunque haya una participación total del pueblo en la toma de decisiones, hay muchas de las personas participantes que ignoran el hecho de por quien están votando, siendo altamente manipulables, haciendo que la tiranía tome ventaja de ello, sucediendo que la mayoría se impone sobre una minoría; también, presenta riesgo de corrupción, o, mejor dicho, se dota de corrupción, de manipulación electoral y desigualdad social.
Por ello, la democracia debe ir más allá de las urnas…
Para así, generar un proceso evolutivo en la misma, porque por mucho que tu digas que el país es democrático por el simple hecho de dejar votar al pueblo, no es así, es mucho más allá de una mera participación, es dotar de poder real al pueblo, de generar esos espacios de dialogo, de transparencia, de colaboración ciudadana con las instituciones, y así sucesivamente, para dar por sentado que existe una verdadera protección de los derechos individuales, de que no hay abusos de poder y que, a la larga, esto estimula un crecimiento en todos los sectores.
Pero, es más fácil decir cual es su ideal, que verla aplicada…
Estos atropellos del Estado de Derecho no tienen un periodo largo debido a varios factores que son importantes para su fin: El actuar del pueblo y de los medios de comunicación, siento que esta última es sumamente importante para dar en visto la represión y la violación hacia los derechos ciudadanos, porque si no hay una noción de lo que pasa internamente, no habrá un apoyo más grande de los que están por fuera, es decir que las redes sociales y todo medio de comunicación sirve para quitar las vendas de los ojos y dejar al descubierto la realidad vivida.
En este sentido, ¿se puede mejorar la Democracia como un sistema justo?…
La respuesta es sí, como una vez dijo Kofi Annan, “Nadie nace un buen ciudadano, ninguna nación ha nacido una democracia. En vez de esto, ambos son procesos que continúan evolucionando a lo largo de la vida. Los jóvenes deben ser incluidos desde su nacimiento.” (Cita extraída de un COE.INT. Todo reside en la enseñanza de los valores humanos, pues si desde pequeño de niño le enseñas lo que es la libertad de expresión, el como es vivir un país en democracia, desde esa edad sueñas con esos ideales y, de alguna manera, buscas las herramientas para llevarlo a cabo.
A modo de finalizar…
Ciertamente, la democracia no es perfecta, ningún sistema político lo es, todo es un proceso que está en constante evolución, pero, este sistema, es la ventana de la justicia, es una forma de gobierno igualitario en todos los sentidos, que ha tenido sus grandes fallos, es verdad, no obstante, sigue siendo la voz colectiva e individual, por lo que hay que recuperarla y mejorarla, actuar en pro de los valores ciudadanos y sentirnos responsables tanto de lo propio como de la convivencia mutua.

Democracy is constituted as a political power based on the sovereignty of the people, that is to say, the people have the control to choose who is in power and which laws should be applicable. Like any political system, it has its advantages and disadvantages, which leads to fall into a false democracy.
The Initiative: Democracy proposed by the @humanitas community, leads us to reflect on this system that little by little has been growing more within modern society, it is not something new, but, it has become more relevant in the last decades and, clearly, it has been provided with many ups and downs that have put in doubt its legitimacy as a good form of social organization.
Democracy…
It has its origins in ancient Athens, when citizens actively intervened in political decisions within the Assembly, by means of votes and open debates; these parameters could be said to be the basis of what is currently constituted as “a democratic government” which, in turn, gives rise to other democratic models that depend to a large extent on cultural and social realities.
However, like any political system, it has its fractures…
is the closest thing to a fair and stable social organization, but, it has its flaws, where people with thoughts extremely far from what democracy is, take advantage of those cracks it has. Although there is a total participation of the people in the decision making, there are many of the participating people who ignore the fact of who they are voting for, being highly manipulable, making tyranny take advantage of it, happening that the majority is imposed over a minority; also, it presents risk of corruption, or, better said, it is endowed with corruption, electoral manipulation and social inequality.
For this reason, democracy must go beyond the ballot box…
In order to generate an evolutionary process in the same, because as much as you say that the country is democratic by the simple fact of letting the people vote, it is not so, it is much more than a mere participation, it is to give real power to the people, to generate those spaces of dialogue, transparency, citizen collaboration with the institutions, and so on, to take for granted that there is a real protection of individual rights, that there are no abuses of power and that, in the long run, this stimulates growth in all sectors.
But, it is easier to say what your ideal is, than to see it applied…
These violations of the rule of law do not have a long period of time due to several factors that are important for their end: The actions of the people and the media, I feel that the latter is extremely important to show the repression and the violation of citizens' rights, because if there is no notion of what is happening internally, there will be no greater support from those who are outside, that is to say that social networks and all media serve to remove the blindfolds and expose the lived reality.
In this sense, can Democracy be improved as a fair system?…
The answer is yes, as Kofi Annan once said, **"No one is born a good citizen, no nation is born a democracy. Instead, both are processes that continue to evolve throughout life. Young people must be included from birth.” **(Quote taken from a COE.INT. Everything lies in the teaching of human values, because if from the time you are a child you teach them what freedom of expression is, what it is like to live in a democratic country, from that age you dream of those ideals and, in some way, you look for the tools to carry them out.
By way of conclusion…
Certainly, democracy is not perfect, no political system is, everything is a process that is in constant evolution, but, this system, is the window of justice, it is a form of egalitarian government in every sense, which has had its great failures, it is true, however, it is still the collective and individual voice, so we must recover it and improve it, act in favor of citizen values and feel responsible for both our own and for mutual coexistence.
