Hercules to the veterinarian [ENG/ESP]

Greetings @hivepets community, today I come to tell you my journey during the last 3 weeks going to the vet, because Hercules got an Otohematoma, which is an inflammation in the ears, where blood accumulates; it is like the appearance of an internal ball in the ear. This can be caused by two factors: the first one is due to an infection in the ear and consequently the canine shakes and scratches a lot in that area. The second factor and the main cause was the dermatitis that appeared on the skin, since the internal area of the ear was not so dirty.
Hercules was, previously, very stressed, because the furniture where he slept had to be thrown away, for his benefit and health, and the mattress that was put for him, at the beginning was not to his liking, causing him anguish, which caused him this allergy in his skin. I was able to transport him the days he needed to go to the doctor's office thanks to the fact that I met a free man who does not charge so much for a big dog, something that did not happen to me with Bethoven (Golden Retriever), with him I was charged at least 20 dollars and only one way. The gentleman of libre let me much more affordable price, adding that he likes animals and is not averse to ride them in his car, of course, I always put it on a plastic and a sheet.
I feel that if there were more people like that man, it would help the animals in many ways, because I have seen many rescuers and people who are reluctant to move their pets because of the cost, even more so in Venezuela. Especially, those who are in remote areas, where there is no veterinarian nearby and those who see at home can get to charge more expensive.
In the first week, when I arrived at the vet, I thought that Hercules would behave badly or be very restless, but the 3 times I took him, he behaved super calm, without bothering or anything, even the hairdressers were surprised by how relaxed he was, several of the pets present there were barking, going here and there and he, as if nothing; of course, wherever I moved, he followed me, he did not want me to separate. The only times he didn't pay attention to me was when it was time to go to the doctor's office, but, even so, he obeyed, although his traumatic face made me laugh.
AAt the end, he looked at the Doctor with an expression of not liking him, but at no time did he dare to bite him, or anything like that, what he did do was to make him bend down many times. In the 3 times I went, he injected him and in the first week I prescribed him prednisone of 5 mg, one tablet daily for 10 days, plus a vitamin that I had been given as a gift, which is specific for skin and hair problems.
Currently, he is feeling better and his Otohematoma decreased and with this I remind you that you should always be aware of any physical and behavioral change in your pets, even if it is minimal, because it could worsen and be too late, because I have seen similar cases that have come to the Doctor, where the owner does not notice or rather they are not aware and let much time pass and then want the vet to do miracles. I noticed that his left ear was down, when it was not the day before and immediately I realized the little ball he had, I asked the doctor and took him the next day, however, if I had been late, it could have had worse consequences.

Saludos comunidad de @hivepets, hoy les vengo a contar mi travesía durante las 3 semanas pasadas yendo al veterinario, ya que Hércules le salió un Otohematoma, el cual es una inflamación en las orejas, donde se acumula sangre; es como la aparición de una bola interna en la oreja. Esta se puede dar por dos factores: la primera es por infección en el oído y por consiguiente el canino se sacude y rasca mucho esa zona. El segundo factor y la principal causa que le dio fue la dermatitis que le broto en la piel, ya que la zona interna de la oreja no estaba tan sucia.
Hércules estuvo, anteriormente, muy estresado, pues se le tuvo que botar el mueble donde dormía, para beneficio y salud de él y la colchoneta que se le puso, al principio no era de su agrado, generándole angustia, lo que le ocasiono esa alergia en la piel. Pude trasladarlo los días que requería ir a la consulta gracias a que conocí un libre que no cobra tan caro para ser un perro grande, cosa que no me sucedió con Bethoven (Golden Retriever), con él me llegaban a cobrar mínimo 20 dólares y solo de ida. El señor de libre me lo deja mucho más accesible el precio, añadiendo que le gusta los animales y no le da asco montarlos en su carro, claro está, yo siempre lo pongo sobre un plástico y una sábana.
Siento que, si hubiese más personas que fueran como ese señor, ayudaría de muchas formas a los animales, pues he visto que muchos rescatista y personas que se cohíben de trasladar a sus mascotas por el costo que esto tiene, más aún en Venezuela. Sobre todo, aquellos que están en zonas lejanas, donde no hay una veterinaria cerca y los que ven a domicilio pueden llegar a cobrar más caro.
En la primera semana, al llegar al veterinario pensé que Hércules se portaría mal o estaría muy inquieto, pero las 3 veces que lo lleve, se portó super tranquilo, sin molestar ni nada, hasta las de peluquería estaban sorprendidas por lo relajado que era, varias de las mascotas ahí presentes estaban ladrando, yendo de aquí para allá y él, como si nada; claro está, a donde yo me moviera, él me seguía, no quería que me separara. Los únicos momentos que no me hacía caso, era cuando tocaba entrar al consultorio del doctor, pero, aun así, obedecía, aunque su cara de trauma si me daba risa.
Al final, miraba al Doctor con una expresión de no agradarle, pero en ningún momento se atrevió a morderlo, ni nada por el estilo, lo que sí hizo fue que se agachara muchas veces. En las 3 veces que fui, lo inyectó y en la primera semana le receto prednisona de 5 mg, una tableta diaria por 10 días, más una vitamina que me habían regalado, que es específica para problemas de piel y pelos.
Actualmente, ya se encuentra mejor y su Otohematoma disminuyó y con esto les recuerdo que siempre deben estar al pendiente de cualquier cambio físico y de comportamiento en sus mascotas, así sea mínimo, pues podría agravarse y ser demasiado tarde, pues he visto casos similares que le ha llegado al Doctor, donde el dueño no se percata o mejor dicho no están al pendiente y dejan pasar mucho tiempo y luego quieren que el veterinario haga milagros. Yo me percaté que su orejita izquierda estaba hacia abajo, cuando no lo estaba al día anterior y de inmediato que me di cuenta de la pequeña bola que tenía, le pregunté al Doctor y lo llevé al día siguiente, no obstante, si me hubiese tardado, podría haber tenido consecuencias peores.

Que bello Hércules, se ve que es un perro muy noble! Imagino su calma en el consultorio veterinario era porque sabía que lo iban a ayudar 😍.
Tienes mucha razón sobre el traslado de los peludos, se sufre mucho cuando se enferman por los costos y lo difícil que es encontrar a una persona que no tenga problemas con llevarlos, es esperanzador cuando se consigue a una persona que tenga buena voluntad y de paso te ayude a levantarlo (si es necesario).
