Female Water Healer -- Healer traits contest --
Hello Holozing Community!!
Hey there! Morning, afternoon or night!
Today, I wanna show you my latest creation a new idea for the @holozing contest, u can check out all the details here , I've opted for something a bit different this time, so I've decided to go for the Female Water Healer. I created this drawing in Corel Painter 2019 but I modified some things in Photoshop.
Here's the Healer I used as a reference_: She's a very cute girl, quite representative of her element. For this version I didn't want to make it too futuristic but rather something more fantasy. I also changed the colors just a bit, only to vary the blue that represents the sea. I haven't followed the same parameters as the original character much, so this will be a different variant and perhaps not as similar as the previous one which adhered more to the design of the original girl.
I wanted to show some of the hair and overall design. I'm a fan of various anime and something I like about their characters is that they seem to escape from the everyday, natural or "normal".
And yeah, that's fun! So, even though I don't do anime I wanted to try something like that with the hair. Besides the hooded cloak that fits the hair as well, I've also taken inspiration from some fish to make the bioluminescence tattoo mmm well, just for inspiration as I didn't do the actual pattern for that.
To start this drawing, I sketched out what I had in mind for this character. There were a few things I needed to figure out before diving into the actual drawing soooo making a sketch seemed like the best way to get everything sorted and well defined for a clear drawing process.
To move things forward, I added some values with a bit of grayscale, aiming to have things better identified. I didn't focus much on the background until now.
This time, I switched to color in Photoshop because I felt more confident using it for this task. Typically, when adding color with overlay, I do it on a layer above. In this case I used overlay directly with the brush, all on the same layer. I made a copy just in case, but everything went smoothly, so that is good.
After getting the skin right and seeing that it looked good, I proceeded to add the other colors to establish the base colors. Up to this point, it was shaping up nicely, so I needed to continue detailing things further.
The lines were almost completely gone; I added a bit more detail to get rid of them, as they're not usually that nice, to be honest. Creating a drawing with line art takes me quite a bit of time, more than it would to paint it.
After removing the lines, I had to add some small details, like the golden parts of the cloak and other things to bring out a bit of shine in that. I also slightly changed the color of the clothing in some parts.
To finish it off, I did the hair, the girl's cloak, something for the background, and a few other light touches. I didn't go for such a dramatic lighting effect for this one.
Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.

She looks so ethereal and I need her to come heal me. Dope work with so much details, cool clothing and ornaments..
Fabulous work, I love the version you did of the character, I like your version even more! the details of the arm and all the decorations on the head, everything! The colour combination is beautiful. Thank you so much!❤️
Marvelous work. This drawing deserves to be a character in the game. It's an amazing concept. But, more amazing is how accurately you did the figure study. The shadows, curves, and body parts positions. Everything is just perfect. I wish to be as skilled as someone like you someday.
Greetings,
It is very beautiful
Thank you for sharing your creative artwork

This is incredible. Amazing talent. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this with us!
Fantastic work, @yanes94 !!!
excellent. I love the triple clasp!
I absolutely love this!! You are very talented ^_^
A beautiful job!
Aside from being a healer, she has a rather sensual and mystical aura. The detail of keeping her face covered, accentuates the mystery of the maiden. You have done an excellent job.
This can low-key serve as a before and after kind of trend. 'The before' being the reference that you used and 'the after',the final look. You're so amazing in what you do,I can't even get enough compliments out of me to describe how much I love your work ❤️🩹
Holo! We've chosen your wonderful artwork to be viewed on holozing.com/fanart, please let us know if you'd like it removed from there for any reason. Thank you!
Great piece! Best I've seen today.
