Fatum

Hello there!!

Hey again, this week has been, well, a bit... complicated and sad. Several birthdays have passed for my sister, although she didn't reach a single one. I wanted to do something related to that, but it's difficult🖤💔.

I tried to do various things, but besides losing some of them, nothing had any result or made sense. It was as if my mind wasn't entirely clear, and my hand wasn't responding. There are many unanswered questions and several pending matters.

The paths of destiny sway in uncertainty, revealing sinister secrets and unforeseen weavings in the darkness. In this gloomy path, crossroads unveil unsettling truths, and uncertainty becomes the sinister guide of an unpredictable journey. They unfold like a mysterious map challenging our expectations. Amidst the shadows, an unpredictable destiny is forged. As we tread these paths, we discover that uncertainty is not just a challenge but an invitation to explore new possibilities. Each step takes us to unknown places, where decisions weave the tapestry of our lives.

I made this drawing in Corel Painter and Photoshop. It is, if... the continuation of Mors Ancestral. I added some elements like the hat and the snake, but the theme is somewhat different in this one. I also made a video for this drawing; I just have to edit it. However, I won't be able to do it with the editor I usually use since the format changed when I recovered them after each power outage. Are we still in Christmas? And that format is not accepted by the other editor, so, well, I'll figure out how to do it later.

To start this drawing, I had a mental outline, so I added what I had to the sketch. I chose to make a sketch because I had many things to do, and to make sure I didn't overlook anything, a sketch was the better option.

-.-

While in Corel, I laid a base for the sketch, applying several brushstrokes to the entire layer since, at that moment, everything was on the same layer, which is more functional for brushes. I don't know why, but it happens.

-.-

There's an effect that I clearly don't know how to achieve, but still, I gave it a try. In fact, I drew the bones of the arm and then the skin. I wanted it to look like it was adhered to the bones, dry, like in movies. I also worked a bit on the bones of the face.

-.-

Although the bones didn't look too unfavorable, well, that's what I told myself, it still didn't give me the effect I was looking for, so I decided to change it. I was going to place a few elements on the hat—a few flowers, thorned vines, a skull. I was going to use the previous hat as a base, but it wasn't time to place it yet. Here, I also worked a bit on the veil that would be on part of the head.

-.-

I made several changes from here because the arm I had was no longer there. Besides that, I opened up a bit more space since I didn't want it to look like there was just a wall behind her. Also, the time for the hat arrived. Although I used the previous one as a base, that didn't spare me from painting other things. Those are the flowers that have taken me the longest in my life.

-.-

As everything progressed, it made more sense, but there was an element missing, and it was crucial. I hadn't worked on the cards she holds in her hand, some tarot cards. So, after seeing several images on the internet of what these tarot cards look like and my version of them, the card design needed some details. I did something simple, basic, but I thought it was good, considering the inside of the cards wouldn't have too much detail.

-.-

To conclude, I addressed the remaining tasks and further refined the details. While I appreciate the chaotic style, I also prefer a smoother skin texture. I placed the tarot cards in her hands and added the other missing elements to complete this piece. Color adjustments, subtle lighting, and it was done.

Awww, you flatter me! The 2023? I'm not sure if the 2024 has been released yet. I've watched videos of the 2021, which is more recent than mine, and it looked amazing. The latest one must be mind-blowing. According to this, here's what it offers. I've only seen this deal for months, and it's still active. It describes what the new update brings, and it's gosh , lots of things. 👀

Did you see how much the lifetime license cost? 430 $ , upgrade 230 on the website, sooooo- This offer is very interesting, hahahhah.

Imagine that when I studied design in 2008 it was only vectorial, this possibility of drawing in this way didn't exist!!!! I am super amazed and the offer is incredible!

I'm looking at the possibilities and in your opinion it looks more like Illustrator now, did you use it?

I know what it is, but I've never used it. A program similar to that, which I've seen and is also a vector graphics editor, is called CorelDRAW. It's like the sibling of Corel Painter. I've come across it several times when trying to find information about Corel Painter on YouTube.

I also need to research more programmes... sometimes I don't have time...
