The One In All Platform - Hive Is Changing The Narrative

The hive blockchain is one that is taking the idea of web3 and cryptocurrency to different levels. I usually refer to hive as a "one in all" platform because let's face it, there's everything you can think of on hive. What have you looked for on hive that you haven't seen yet? I would really like to know.

When I first joined hive, I was introduced to the blogging aspect which is still one of the biggest things I do on hive but I have also had the pleasure of exploring the blockchain and learning a lot more. The blockchain is a social media platform that encourages community engagement. As a decentralization based platform, the community is one way to push the decentralization. The best way to build something is to do it as a team and what better way to do that than do it with a community of varying talents and people?

I like that the hive blockchain promotes account ownership. Unlike the web2 platforms where your account can get suspended or blocked at anytime, hive does not block or suspend accounts. When you create an account on hive, it is yours forever unless the unfortunate happens and you lose your keys. With your account ownership, your account is monetized. Every little thing you do on the platform has the prospects of being rewarded with coins or tokens.

Though the platform largely supports writing, you can engage in several other things. If you don't like to write, you can create video contents or show your photography skills. You can come up with tutorials and share with the community. You can play games or help develop a useful product for the blockchain.

One other thing I like about hive is the fact that with one account, you can access a lot of things. There are several gateways or paths that can lead you to hive. These are called decentralized applications (dApps) which give you access to the blockchain. The nice thing is that you don't need different accounts for these dApps. With the hive account you create via whatever account creation method, you can access peakd, ecency, Inleo, Dbuzz, neoxiancity, cinetv, liketu, among others.

All these dapps allow you access to the blockchain to share your content but have their unique offers. If you want to create long form content, you can do so with ecency and peakd. If you are interested in short form content, Inleo and dbuzz is the way to go though, ecency allows for short form content. Inleo also allows for long form content. If you prefer vlogging, you can do so with 3speaktv and if you are very good at photography, liketu is yours.

_Communities

Another good thing about the blockchain is that there are communities for all contents. Interested in movies, "movies and reviews" has a dedicated community following that talk about movies. Interested in emotions, "emotions and feelings" community is there. If you want to rant about anything, grab your device, type your rant and post in the "rants" community.

If all these don't interest you, play the splinterlands game or other games which are very rewarding and also a way to the general development of the blockchain. The gaming aspect of hive is one area I have become very involved in.

I also like hive because it is proving that web3 is not a scam and is not something strange people should worry about. The blockchain is running projects in the real world which is benefiting people who are not even on the blockchain. It is showing that crypto is a good thing and that hive is for all. Hive is building boreholes in Ghana through the supervision of @mcsamm and @collinz. As at the time of writing, two more are being built in the Northern region of Ghana. Hive is also helping students in Ghana with things they need though the supervision of "hive students hub" and @abdul01.

There are a lot more reasons why I like hive and projects that hive runs in the real world which proves it is one for all.
