Spliterlands Social Media Challenge - Flawless Victory

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. I will be describing one of my brawl battles. I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for all battles.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset Icon	Description
	Up close and personal : Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battle
	Little league : Only monsters or summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used
	Blud and sunder : All units gain corrosive ward

These rulesets signifies that I could use only melee monsters in this brawl battle who cost 4 mana and less. It also implied that all monsters who had shield would lose the shields after an attack.

For this battle, I chose the Mylor Crowling summoner to grant all my monsters the thorns ability. Since only melee were allowed in the battle, it looked like a no brainer.

Battle Tactics

In first position, I selected Xenith Monk. With a speed of 3, health of 6 and melee attack of 1, it looked good.

I selected Goblin Thief in second position. With its sneak ability and melee attack of 2, I was convinced it would do a lot of damage.

In third position I selected Ureaus who also has the sneak ability. With a speed of 2 and a melee attack of 1, it would combine with Goblin Thief to sneak on my enemy.

In the fourth position, I selected Bertrol Gobson. With opportunity and blodlust abilities, Bertrol Gobson was going to kill the monsters with least health.

In fifth position, I went with Venari Scout who had the opportunity ability.

I selected Hill Giant for the sixth position although it couldn't attack anywhere except the first position. Due to its health of 6, I thought to use it as a tank for my enemy's sneak monsters.

Battle Details

Summoner and unit buffs took effect and the battle began. My enemy's fifth monster Orella Abadon attacked my last monster reducing its health to 3. The thorns damage took effect and reduced my enemy's bloodlust monster to a health of 1.

My first monster, Xenith Monk did no damage to my enemy's first monster, Antoid Platoon. My enemy's third monster, Serpentine Spy attacked my third monster removing its shield. The thorns damage took effect and my enemy's third monster died. Ant Miners from my enemy's team gained +1 health and my Berstrol Gobson monster killed my enemy's Orella Abadon and bloodlusted gaining +1 stats. At that point my enemy had 4 monsters remaining while I still had all of mine. Ant Miners gained +1 health again.

My enemy's Ureaus attacked my last monsters, lost its shield and lost 2 health from my thorns damage. My Ureaus delivered the final blow killing my enemy's Ureaus. My Goblin Thief reduced my enemy's Ant Miners health from 5 to 3. My fifth monster missed its attack.

My enemy's first monster did -2 health damage to my first monster. But my enemy's first monster lost its shield and received -1 health thorns damage ending round 1.

At the start of round 2, my Bertrol Gobson killed my enemy's second monster and bloodlusted. My first monster did 0 damage to my enemy's first monster while my Ureaus, Goblin Thief and Venari Scout killed my enemy's last monster.

My enemy's first monster attacked my first monster and ended up with -1 health damage ending round 2.

In round 3, my bloddlust monster who now had a speed of 5 and a melee attack of 3, killed my enemy's remaining monster winning me the battle.
