Splinterlands Battle Mage Weekly Challenge - Keep Your Distance

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage secrets weekly challenge. I will be sharing with you one of the battles I had this week. This time around, this battle did not go as expected at all.

For this particular battle, I used my account @yahuzah. It is my designated spl account.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset Icon	Description
	Units with melee attack may not be used in this battle. Use Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks. Use headwinds, and return fire to counter ranged attacks. Units with 2 types of attack (which include melee) cannot be used.

I picked the Drake of Arnak summoner for this battle with my opponent. I picked this because of the added shield ability that will be applied to all my monster cards. Also, it's mana of 4 helped with my overall mana for the battle.

My opponents picked the Mylor Crowling summoner.

1st Position

---

For my first position, I picked the Kron The Undying. Kron The Undying has a mana of 10, 10 health and 2 speed. It has a magic attack of 3. It also restores a portion of the monster’s health in each round. This was helpful because the overall mana didn’t allow me to have a healer. So, I thought this would help with its health restoring ability.

Round 1

After clicking on rumble, my summoner gave my monsters a +1 shield. My opponent brought a Mylor Crowling summoner.

I attacked first with my Regal Peryton since that was the monster with the highest speed of 6. I attacked my opponent’s first card which was Mycelin Slipspawn. My monster did a magic attack and reduced my opponent’s first card by a -1 health. My opponent’s third card, Acid Shooter attacked my first card which was Kron The Undying with a range attack and damaged my shield. My Kron The Undying attacked my opponent’s first card with a -3 magic attack and reduced its health by -3. My opponent then attacked with his first card (Mycelin Slipspawn) with magic and reduced my first card’s health by -2. My opponent’s second card which was Psychic Goblin healed his Mycelin Slipspawn and attacked my Kron concluding round 1.

Round 2

I attacked first again with my Regal Peryton and a damage of -1 health was made to my opponent’s Mycelin Slipspawn. My opponent attacked with his third card, Acid Shooter and missed his attack on my Regal Peryton. My Kron The Undying healed a portion of its health and attacked my opponent’s Mycelin Slipspawn with a magic attack of 3 and reducing its health by 3.

It was my opponent’s turn to attack again and he did with his Mycelin Slipspawn rendering a damage of -2 health tips my Kron The Undying. Goblin Psychic from my opponent’s line up healed my opponent’s first card and attacked my Kron ending the second round.

Round 3

Regal Peryton attacked my opponent’s first card with magic and reduced the opponent’s monster by a health of 1. My opponent’s Acid Shooter then attacked my Kron and reduced its health by 1. Kron The Undying from my line up then restored a portion of its health and attacked my opponent’s first monster. My opponent’s monster attacked Kron back and was healed by Goblin Psychic. Goblin Psychic then concluded the round by attacking my Kron and doing a damage of -2 health.

Round 4

Regal Peryton attacked first yet again and did a damage of -1 health to my opponent’s first monster. My opponent’s third card missed its attack on Regal just like the third round and Kron the Undying restored a portion of its health and attacked my opponent’s Mycelin Slipspawn who was still firmly anchoring the first position. Goblin Psychic healed my opponent’s first card and attacked my Kron The Undying to conclude the round after reducing Akron’s health to 2.

Round 5

Regal Peryton did first damage to my opponent’s first card but this time instead of my opponent’s third card to attack my Regal Peryton in the second position, it rather attacked my last card, Chaos Agent. Kron healed and attacked my opponent’s first card with a magic attack of 3. Goblin Psychic from my opponent healed the opponent’s first monster, attacked and killed my Kron The Undying.

Round 6

My Regal Peryton attacked my opponent’s first card, Mycelin Slipspawn doing a damage of -1 health. Acid Shooter from my opponent’s line up attacked my Kron and killed it. Regal Peryton then stepped into the first position and was attacked with a magic attack of 2 by Mycelin Slipspawn. My opponent’s Goblin Psychic healed the first card and attacked my new first card rendering a damage of -2 health to my monster.

Round 7

My Regal Peryton attacked my opponent’s first card and my opponent’s third card (Acid Shooter) attacked my Chaos Agent. My opponent’s Mycelin Slipspawn then attacked my Regal Peryton and killed it. Chaos Agent took the first position and was killed by my opponent’s Goblin Psychic. This concluded the battle and I lost.

The battle ended in 7 rounds and after relentless attacks and healing, I lost the battle killing none of my opponent’s monsters.
