Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Little League
Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage weekly challenge for this week. This week I will be sharing one of my brawl matches I participated in.
For this particular battle, I used my account @yahuzah, my designated spl account.

Only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used.
All units gain the Blast ability. Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.Include a unit with Reflection Shield in your lineup to absorb blast damage and protect your back line.
All non-flying units take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn.Snared units are considered non-flying. Since the damage given is physical, it can be reduced to 1 if the unit has the shield ability. |
This was a combination of 3 rules which always makes it a bit challenging to pick your lineup. Because of the earthquake, I decided to use summoners with shield and I had just the summoner for it.
Summoner | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th |

Summoner chosen:
I chose Mother Khala summoner. This is one of the summoners I like to use when I have the option to go with monsters with low mana and the fact that the summoner gives monsters a +1 health stat. It has some very monster cards one can use and if used rightly, should make your battles easier. With the earthquake and blast in mind, I went for monsters with shield and good health. I also opted for a healer who would help restore lost health.
Time Mage was my first position monster for this battle. I wanted to attack first and also use the slow ability to my advantage. This skill set reduces the speed of my opponent’s monsters and gives me a higher chance of attacking first.
monster cards in position for the battle
I clicked on rumble and the battle began after applying +1 health to my monsters and reducing the speed of my opponent’s monsters. My opponent’s summoner countered that with a -1 health on my monsters.
My first monster, Time Mage as expected, did the first attack to my opponent’s first card, Xenith Monk with a magic attack of 1. That had a blast effect on his second card, Shadow Snitch reducing the health to 4. My third card, Venari CrystalSmith attacked next with a range attack of 1 on my opponent’s Xenith Monk which caused a further blast attack on his second card, Shadow Snitch reducing the health further to 3. My fourth card, Uraeus attacked my opponent’s last card, Venari Spellsmith with a blast effect to his Venari Bonesmith reducing their health to 1 and 2 respective.
My opponent’s attack time finally came and he attacked my Time Mage with Xenith Monk rendering a melee of 1 and causing a blast effect on my second monster, Sunkari Harvester. This removed the shield my monster had. I attacked again with my fourth card, Celestial Harpy and this attack was done to my opponent’s last card Venari Spellsmith. The blast effect reduced the health of my opponent’s Venari Bonesmith and killed my opponent’s last card, Venari Spellsmith.
This was a 30 attack round and my opponent’s Riftwing gained more health. My second card, Sunkari Harvester attacked my opponent’s first card adding the blast effect to his second card. Life Saper, my opponent’s fourth card attacked my Time Mage and caused a blast effect on my second card. Life Saper then gained a health of +1. My opponent’s Venari Bonesmith attacked my Time Mage and killed it. This caused my second card, Sunkari Harvester to step into the first position.
Xenith Archer from my line up attacked my opponent’s Xenith Monk causing a blast effect on Shadow Snitch and ending the first round.
Shadow Snitch from my opponent’s line up attacked first and missed his attack on my Sunkari Harvester who was now in the first position. The earthquake ruleset applied to all the monsters except my opponent’s Riftwing. This resulted in the death of my Sunkari Harvester, Xenith Archer, my opponent’s Xenith Monk, his Shadow Snitch and Venari Bonesmith. My opponent’s Riftwing then healed from a health of 7 to a health of 12.
My opponent’s Life Sapper attacked my new first card, Venari Crystalsmith reducing its health of 1 and causing a blast to Celestial Harpy. Venari CrystalSmith healed back to a health of 3 and my Uraeus did a damage of -1 health to my opponent’s Life Sapper and causing a blast to my opponent’s Riftwing. Celestial Harpy attacked my opponent’s Life Sapper and killed it. My opponent’s Riftwing then healed to end the second round.
The earthquake effect came into play and my Uraeues died. Life Sapper healed and my Venari CrystalSmith healed too. This concluded round 3.
My Venari CrystalSmith got earthquaked and healed. Celestial Harpy then attacked my opponent’s Riftwing and to conclude round 4.
For additional 10 rounds, the same thing happened by way of earthquake having an effect on my Venari CrystalSmith, my opponent’s Riftwing healing and my Celestial Harpy attacking.
This continued till my celestial Harpy was able to do the final damage to my opponent’s last card, Riftwing who wasn’t attacking.
This brought my brawl battle to an end and my team being victorious
