I Joined Hive On HPUD - Faith Or Coincidence

I always knew I joined hive in August but I was surprised to realize I actually join on the 1st of August 2022. What are the odds you join a new blockchain on the first day of a new month. The funny thing about this is that I stumbled upon the realization by mistake. I was using Ecency and mistakenly clicked on my profile and saw the date 08-01-2022. Like, I was legit confused and so I deep dived on hivestats and that confirmed I actually created my account on the first of August 2022 at exactly 11:46 am.

At the time I joined the platform, I had no idea I had joined hive on such a historic day. I knew absolutely nothing about Hive Power Up Day, HPUD as some of you might have already guessed. I actually didn’t know about HPUD for quite some time. When I realized my account was created on the first, I laughed so hard and I said to myself “what a coincidence”. Then later I said “naa, this is faith”. #HPUD is a special day on hive and name joining on HPUD maybe means something. Excuse for trying to be a bit superstitious.

What can I say other than, I am super happy to be finally clocking a year on our amazing web3.0 platform. When I first went through the sign up process, I didn’t do anything after. If I am not mistaken, I wrote my introduction post probably after 3 months later. For the first 3 months I was not active and looking back now, that was a mistake. But I always accept that maybe it was good because I wouldn’t have been super active even if I had written my introduction post. I wrote my first post after exploring the blockchain for quite some time and also gaining assistance on what and what not to do.

I’ve come far since the first post I made and that would not have possible without the support and encouragement from a lot of people. Thank you to my brother @rubilu for encouraging me to start posting on hive and thanks to @depressedfuckup for helping me sign up. I also wouldn’t he here without the support of @neoxian. Neoxian has supported me with far more than his juicy upvotes. He has provided a very good discord channel for hive users to socialize. Come join us if you haven’t already. I would also like to thank the leofinance community for welcoming me into the community and helping me with some answers and always being ready to help further.

Of course I can’t forget @nhaji01 for encouraging me to make posts when I feel a bit lazy at times. She encourages me to learn more as well and make quality post. Nhaj, hurry to that million hive power and bless me with your whale vote. I say thank you to @abu78 as well for encouraging me to get involved with hive gaming. Let’s game more bro 🥳. And to my silent motivator @merit.ahama who’s already on course to be a whale, thank you for always being ready for my disturbances. Today being hive power up day, I decided to take part in this with some power up. My hive power before the power up was 1471.273. I haven’t been doing my 1 $hive daily power ups for sometime now which has slowed down my progress. I hope to continue again.

So, I decided to power up 12$hive coin to take my hive power to the 80s and that would be 1483.337.

I would have loved to reach 1500 hp to mark my 1 year on hive but it’s a shame I haven’t been able to. Hopefully I can get to that soon and hit 2000 before the year ends. Happy new month everyone, happy hive power day. To the moon 🚀
