Raining all day at the farm—-what to do?
Winter and summer in the USA is summer in Colombia. In truth, the weather in Colombia is the same all year round — which is why they call Medellin the City of Eternal Spring.
That said, there is a only a rough (permeable) line of demarcation between what is known as the Dry season (their summer) & the Wet (which, really) can happen anytime.
Which is to say: Everything is out of whack. While it should not be raining all day, now, (rather only for a few hours) it’s been pouring & heavily!
On the upside, this means we don’t need to water the plants/trees & everything continues growing, splendidly, in this rich, fertile soil.
It means time to prepare hearty soups…
and indulge in birdwatching:
And, when it’s drier, it gives us the opportunity to take out the chickens for their dirt bath & hunt for giant, poisonous African snails 🐌 which the rain brings out. Then, dig a hole 🕳& bury nasty critters.
Que hermoso lugar el que nos compartes hoy, todo un paraiso felicidades por pertenecer a ese sitio. Los caracoles venenosos son terribles que bueno que los entierran. Las comidas se ven exquisitas, saludos y bendiciones.
Thanks, for your comment. My Spanish is so-so. Do you speak English?
I don't speak English but it helped me with the deelp translator which is very good.
Thank you, for responding in English to my post that was written in English.
