BITCOIN HALVING PROMO EVENT IN SPLINTERLANDS

With each DEC or credit used to purchase the promo cards during this event, Players are going to accumulate points. Players will have an opportunity to win one of the provided prizes for every 10,000 (10k) points they acquire. At the finish line of the event, the players with the highest aggregate score number will get the guaranteed leaderboard prizes.

For every DEC or credit used, players will get one point; nevertheless, points will not be awarded for using vouchers to reduce the purchase price. In order to discourage participants from sniping leaderboard places at the end and to incentivize players to engage earlier in the event, there will also be point multipliers. Consequently, players will earn a 3x multiplier for leaderboard points on the first day of the event when they spend tokens, and the multiplier will begin to decrease each day until the final day of the event.

After buying the promotional cards during the sale, users will earn 10,000 (10k) points, which will give them the opportunity to win one of the jackpot prizes. Kindly be aware that the first day of the event will have a 3x point multiplier. For example, if a Rare promo card had been bought on the first day for 3,125 DEC, the purchaser would receive 9,375 points. The multiplier will drop gradually every day until the final day of the event, when it will hit one time.

The following prizes, valued at around $100,000 at current market rates, are being offered by the Splinterlands team members out of its own funds for the celebration:

• 500 PLOT tokens
• 100 Alpha packs
• 250 Beta packs
• 500 Untamed Packs
• 50 Essence Orb Packs
• 100 Azmare Dice Packs
• 20 Runi NFTs

Leaderboard Awards

The players which participate will get the prizes mentioned above at random, with each 10k worth of scores equivalent to one shot to win. Nevertheless, prizes will also be given to the players who earn the most points overall during the event. The following in-game titles will be the main leaderboard prizes:

1-10 - "The Burninator" Legendary Title
11-60 - "The Incinerator" Epic Title
61-200 - "The Scorcher" Rare Title

The Splinterlands Team purposely granted just a handful of these titles for the first burning event last year so that they could utilize them again for subsequent events. These are the the same titles that were given out for the first burning event.

Participants who make it into the top 20 on the leaderboard will receive the following promo cards guaranteed in addition to the ones they bought during the event. Be aware that each player will get one card that has already been pre-combined to the BCX shown in the following table:

I also entered this event and purchased Baron Fyatt for a budget of 15k credits and 312 vouchers. I believe it was a worthwhile purchase because I really need the card. It is a legendary card that can be used in the fire element and the death element. Its halving ability is a potential game-changer, so that's why I need it the most. The problem with the card's level 1 is that it only has 1 magic damage, so I should buy it to get level 2, but it's quite expensive for me to purchase because I don't have extra money to buy more.
When I tried it on the 3x multiplier on the first day, I immediately got good points and had a 4 chance of winning. To be honest, I wanted to buy more, but my budget was limited. I also wanted a title for my account, and while I think it's impossible for me to place in the top 200 and obtain the title of my dreams, I still need more funds to make that happen, so until the next event, maybe my chances of buying a title for my account are still quite low. Time will tell, though, if I can pull it off.

I'm happy to be a part of this event in Splinterlands. I just want to hope that someday SPs get more value and we can earn more incentives and can cash out money to be use in real life necessities. I only got 1 standard foil with a decent number of points. Let's wait for the bitcoin halving and the after 15 days event to see if I can get some good exciting rewards.
