#FungiFriday - Lilliput's mushrooms?
Good afternoon, FungiFriends!
Here is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw :)
On one of my weekend walks, I came across these little friends huddled together, shoulder to shoulder... it was like a small forest and I was a giant! I felt a bit like the protagonist in Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels"!
Have you ever felt like that? More often than not, we feel like tiny beings when we're faced with a fantastic occasion or a manifestation of Mother Nature... It often happens to me when I go to the seaside, or when I'm watching an electrical storm outside the window... all those flashes of lightning and thunder over 80 dB are impossible not to over-elativize, right?
Well, this time it was exactly the opposite. Some of the people who were with me that day even wondered when they saw me genuflecting with my cell phone almost touching the cobblestones that stretched out above our feet. Well, fantastic nature doesn't always allow us to remain unchanged when we're paying attention... In fact, there are few things greater than nature to impress us and make us dream... And in the few minutes I spent photographing these gems, I traveled... I reduced myself to the size of those mycotic "little trees" and imagined myself looking at their delicate hats. And I immediately asked myself: How is it possible for such delicate living beings to throw themselves into life and risk everything among the cobblestones?
Surely, even if they knew that their existence could be ended, just because a heavier human or dog accidentally puts the sole of their shoe or their foot pads on them? Taking a chance... Reach high. That's what I should do more of, risk more and without fear... without fear of losing, because if we have nothing, what can we lose?
I thought the detail of such tiny beings was fantastic... and I traveled in my imagination for five minutes. I hope you enjoyed it too.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all #FungiFriday friend's a wonderful weekend!

... he lost it.. :p
That's what happens when you start to see mushrooms everywhere and you just have to shoot them all :D
Yep... I can confirm that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Awesome find, very cute. and I love your writing/ philosophizing.
P.S. Have you really seen an electrical storm inside of your house? More than once? ⚡
Thank you @vincentnijman !
Thank you for point my mistake! Ahaha Just edited my post to make "more" sense! Ahahah
No worries ;<)
P.S. Are you Portuguese/ living in Portugal?
Yes, I'm Portuguese, and living in Portugal atm :)
Good to know! Sou holandes, vivo em Portugal desde 2018.
What a spectacle! Fortunately, I've already had the chance to see a bit of Amsterdam. And it was at the penultimate Hive meeting, at HiveFest#7! And I have to say that I loved the relaxation and the city. It's very different from Lisbon, as you know. I hope you enjoy living in this little corner by the sea. I'm sure you'll miss Holland!
What you say is true, dear friend @xrayman. On many occasions we feel insignificant before the majesty of nature, and I share your emotion when seeing in front of me a small colony of tiny mushrooms, like not feeling like a giant in the Gulliver movies. ¨
I can imagine your excitement when you found this beautiful colony of fungi, what a satisfaction to take these beautiful shots.
Great what you have found dear friend, I appreciate that you have shared with us
have a splendid weekend
Hey, @jlufer ! Thank you so much for stop by and to comment on my FungiFriday post!
Thank you for your appreciation! Have a great weekend!
The photos turned out pretty cool!! Go shrooms! :))
They sure did! And after some editing, and light correction, they came our pretty decent. I cannot imagine how far better they could get if I had a little more patient with the focus point... Shame on me
Where's that GOT shame meme when we need it?? :)))
Ahahah awesome! :)))
