LETTING GO(FORGIVENESS)...

avatar

After a lot of frustration from the power source and internet outage in my area and the rest of West Africa, hive Ghana gave me the privilege to write on forgiving the people in charge of this issue. Still, as much as I want to write about it there’s something more important I’d like to write about which is the rift between me and my senior employee.

Emmanuel a young teenager whom I decided to train on how to run my business almost turned against me but unknowingly I have a hand in the reason why he changed towards me.
This young man is diligent and honest with his work but suddenly noticed some changes in him after he started going for his jamb tutorial because he’s planning on participating in the coming examination which got me worried and concerned but it wasn’t all that serious not until a night when he shouted at me after I instructed him to do something, I mean he bashed me which got me mad that I almost wanted to start exchanging words with him but I withdrew and attended to the instruction I gave to him by myself since then I let him be on his own.

The next day he came to work late and I didn’t even bother questioning him because i wasn’t even thinking he would show up at all. Still, it occurred to me that he didn’t show up to work but to meet and communicate with the rest of the coworkers well I find no offense in that and I didn’t even bother telling him to come work instead I fastened my belt and worked for the rest of that day. While I was working he was collecting some orders from the customers which attracted some pay and this occurred for two good days.

It’s the third day so I decided to send him a message asking him if he was still interested in my business or not but unfortunately, he didn’t reply which felt like a slap on my face and got me angry. The same process he came to the stall and he didn’t even try to work which I didn’t care about but what I cared mostly about was the message he didn’t reply to which I did ask him the reason why he did not reply. He started telling me how I’d unknowingly offended which attracted his misbehavior towards me.
There I was short of words so I decided to apologize and forgive him. Since then we’ve been really good and he has been of his best behavior.
The number one solution to forgiveness is communication because nobody is perfect and nobody is meant to be.

Thank you for stopping by. Bye!

It's not easy to manage employees, especially the teenagers.
It's good you were able to control your anger and forgive him.

About Nepa people, hmm, just keep forgiving them. I'm sure they'll change someday:)

All this was fixed just because of one simple question and imagine if you didn’t go forward to ask this
Then you would have a lost a really important person who would be of help to you someway somehow
