My best friends in the world: bonds that stand the test of time

I'm not a person with many friends. In fact, I'm very suspicious of everyone and everything, I think because of the many "slaps" I've received from life in my 35 years. But of course there are some people who come into our lives, gain our trust, and end up staying and making a difference.

It is not difficult to name my three favorite friends. João Victor, Sabrina and Bianca. And, strangely enough, all journalists. And that's what brought us together.

I'll tell you a little bit about each of them.

I met Sabrina 14 years ago. We were part of the same group of "friends" of an ex-boyfriend of mine. The relationship ended, but our friendship remained and grew stronger over time. I have to admit that I didn't like her very much when I first met her, but over the years we got to know each other better, trust grew... And we even ended up working together on two separate occasions, in 2013 and then in 2019, until now. She was also my freshman in college, I think in 2012 if I'm not mistaken. Currently we live in different cities, about 300km apart, but that won't end our friendship. Anyway, she owes me a visit. HAHAHAH

Then came Bianca. I met her when we worked together in 2013 and she was my intern. We always got along very well, I always thought she was super talented. But our friendship really strengthened after the pandemic. We got closer, started working out at the same gym and went out more often. But she also moved to another city, actually another country in 2022. Now she lives in Ireland, a bit far away. hahaha Our friendship is the typical kind where we know we're there to support each other, but we don't need to talk every day. This year she came back to Brazil for a short visit and I made sure to travel to my old city to meet her!

And finally, João Victor came into my life. He's the youngest of my top 3 boyfriends in terms of age, he's only 20 years old. But he's such a responsible, determined and talented guy that we couldn't help but get closer. We met in 2019, I think. He came to my current job as an apprentice, and we've been friends ever since. But our friendship definitely strengthened immensely last year, and even more so this year, when he moved to the city where I currently live.

I'm very proud of my three best friends and I miss being physically closer to Sabrina and Bianca, going out more, doing more things together. But that's what adult life is like.
