Easter magic: creating chocolate eggs 🐰 [EN/PT]

Easter is already tomorrow, and for the last few days I've been helping a pastry chef friend (@confeiteironerd on Instagram, who will also be here on Hive soon 🤞) to produce the homemade eggs he's been making to sell this year.
My friend recently moved and now lives in a city in Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro. But he still comes to my town from time to time because he has many friends here and his boyfriend too.
And because he used to live here, has many friends and customers, he used to get orders for the Easter delicacies he makes. But since he no longer has a house here, he asked me to give him shelter for two days and let him use my kitchen to make chocolate. That's what friends are for, right? Of course I didn't hesitate and said of course he could.
He arrived here on Wednesday afternoon, having already brought a lot of materials from Rio, and soon went out to buy the rest that was still missing. By the time he returned, I had finished my shift and stayed to watch everything he did. He prepared the fillings that day, but I forgot to document it. 🤦♀️
The next day, Thursday, was my day off, so I took the opportunity to help him with production. I like doing different things and I'm pretty organized. So it wasn't a problem for my friend. hahaha
Anyway, the assembly of the chocolate eggs began! I helped him assemble all the packaging while he put the finishing touches on some of the fillings. Right after that, we started assembling! I remembered to take some pictures of these stages, but since I was also helping, it wasn't very nice to check my phone all the time, as my hands could end up getting contaminated. Every click, a washed hand. hahaha
Seriously, each chocolate egg was more delicious than the last. And I say that with authority because we ate a lot of fillings that ended up being leftovers. Goodbye diet!
He made eggs with classic milk and dark chocolate shells, as well as brownie and cookie shells. The fillings had many varieties, such as passion fruit ganache, strawberry, and Ovomaltine; classic brigadeiro and cream cheese; salted caramel, white chocolate, dulce de leche, and banana. As for the toppings, they ranged from almond crunch, powdered milk, traditional and red velvet cookies, brownie, and the famous Flork Meme plaque.
It even has a little bunny butt dipped in chocolate!
In the end, I got an egg as a gift from my friend, but we made a deconstructed version with just fillings in a jar! And believe it or not, it weighed about 25.3 ounces (1.58 pounds)! I'll be suffering at the gym next week. hahahhaha

A Páscoa já é amanhã e, nesses últimos dias, ajudei um amigo confeiteiro (o @confeiteironerd lá no Instagram, que em breve estará aqui na Hive também 🤞) a produzir os ovos caseiros que ele fez para vender neste ano.
Meu amigo se mudou há pouco tempo e agora mora em uma cidade da Baixada Fluminense, no Rio de Janeiro. Mas, ainda assim, ele continua vindo esporadicamente à minha cidade, já que tem muitos amigos por aqui e o namorado também.
E justamente por ter morado aqui, ter muitos amigos e clientes, ele recebeu encomendas das deslícias pascais que ele produz. Mas, como não tem mais uma casa aqui, me pediu ajuda para abrigá-lo por dois dias e que deixasse ele usar minha cozinha para a produção dos chocolates. E, amigo é pra essas coisas, também, né?! Óbvio que não pensei duas vezes e disse que claro que poderia.
Ele chegou aqui na quarta-feira a tarde, já trazendo bastante material do Rio e, logo depois, foi comprar o restante que ainda faltava. Na volta, eu já havia terminado meu expediente no trabalho e fiquei observando tudo o que ele fazia. Neste dia, ele preparou os recheios, mas eu esqueci de registrar. 🤦♀️
No dia seguinte, na quinta-feira, era minha folga no trabalho e aproveitei para ajudá-lo na produção. Eu gosto de fazer coisas diferentes e sou bastante organizada. Então, isso não foi um problema para o meu amigo. hahaha
Enfim, a montagem dos ovos de chocolate começou!!! Eu o ajudei a montar todas as embalagens, enquanto ele finalizava os toques finais de alguns recheios. Logo em seguida, partimos para as montagens! Essas etapas eu lembrei de capturar algumas imagens, mas, como também estava o ajudando, não era muito legal ficar mexendo no celular toda hora, já que minhas mãos poderiam acabar contaminadas. A cada clique, uma mão lavada. hahaha
Sério, cada ovo de chocolate estava mais delicioso do que o outro. E digo isso com propriedade, pois comemos muitos recheios que acabaram sobrando um pouquinho. Adeus, dieta!!
Ele produziu ovos com casquinhas clássicas de chocolate ao leite e chocolate meio amargo, além de casquinhas de brownie e cookies. Os recheios tinham muitas variedades, como ganache de maracujá, morango e ovomaltine; brigadeiro clássico e de cream cheese; caramelo salgado, chocolate branco, doce de leite e de bananada. Já as coberturas tinham de crocante de amêndoas, leite ninho, cookies tradicional e red velvet, brownie e a famosa plaquinha do meme Flork.
Tem até uma bundinha de coelhinho mergulhada no chocolate!
No fim, ganhei um ovo de presente do meu amigo, mas fizemos uma versão desconstruída apenas com recheios dentro de uma taça! E pasmem, ficou com 718g!! Semana que vem vou sofrer na academia. hahahhaha
