My Lord of the Rings⚔️
Well here we are, my second post!
I'm a major fan of Lord of the Rings. It is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite movie & series of movies.
I remember as a young hobbit, my Dad brought me to the cinema in our capital city of Dublin to see the Fellowship. Thinking back I didn't think he'd of been into it, maybe it was all the rage because even as a young kid I can still vaguely remember seeing ads & billboards advertising the film everywhere! So it was hard to ignore it.

My dream like a lot of dudes out there from the age of probably 12 is to have a room and completely fill it with movie & games merch & memorabilia wall-to-wall. If I did, it would undoubtedly have a LOTR corner in the room somewhere.
Besides the movies, I loved playing the original games on PS2, especially Return of the King & the Battle for Middle-Earth II. WHAT A GAME!!!
As for the Shadow of Mordor, meh... Gollum? Not gonna play it, so please don't ask, bro.
Also, I think my love for Skyrim originally stemmed from my love for LOTR. Before that it would have been Oblivion, one of the hardest games I have ever played! If there's anyone who has played Oblivion, please let me know! 😂
And for the icing on the cake, I have a tattoo too!
Any fans will recognize it right away, it wraps completely around my arm (hard to get a good angle for a picture) It's just the start of a new sleeve I'm working on and planning to fill out my whole right arm with movies & references. (My left arm is bands) 💉
--- The game hiding behind the Blu-ray by the way is LOTR Lego, it's not actually mine, it's my friends...… (no, it's mine now - my precious) #cringe

My buddy with hairy feet got me this from a collectors shop I think for either my birthday or maybe Christmas, but either way this thing looks almost REAL in real-life, it's freaky as shit.
This guy I got off of a cool website I found called EMP, you should check it out. The purpose was to use it as a coffee cup, but it looks too good in it's original packaging. #emp
These cool guys I got in Denmark when I booked a random trip to Billund for a fare of like $20 return back to Ireland not knowing it's the birth place of LEGO!
My tattoo, it fully wraps my arm. LOTR fans will know the full picture.

You and my sister would get on well. She finds all manner of action figures, merch and collector's items to-be...she has a whole room of stuff in her house packed up to the ceiling and it's so jammed full in there with boxes that you can't open the door hahaha she does fully admit to having a wee bit of a problem in this regard - the collecting, not the door opening. (She used to have a shop where she sold these but closed it when the lockdowns hit).

Lol, no she doesn't Hive. She's one of those people that rolls their eyes when I mention crypto 🤣 She has made a fair trade out of action figures though. She's planning on opening up her shop again in the future so then I get first pickings 😁
@mclynchy just wanted to ask if you know how downvoting negatively effects someone's reputation level on Hive? It's not the same like FB or IG. Not sure if @killerwot had time to explain it to you yet?
Actually, I didn't get a chance to explain downvotes and upvotes. I kind of said to them to just float around and do some discovery before going through all the more technical stuff.
So, @mclynchy and @xkasabian the whole downvote and upvote thing is tied into your reputation score. The higher the number gets, the harder it is to raise it. Raising it requires good behaviour on chain. It drops due to being bad, and receiving downvotes, if that happens enough your content will get flagged and won't be visible to most people.
Upvotes give rewards, and downvotes take them away, that's why it takes 7 days to get your content payout, because within those 7 days the powers that be will be able to find out whether your work is plagurized or not and stuff like that. It's just an anti abuse measure really.
My advice, don't downvotes anyone, not even as a joke, because it affects rep and could lead to a downvote war, and some people on here may end up taking a grudge if you downvote them.
The longer you're here you'll see people who get their posts zero'd and rep dropped, but since your accounts aren't big you's are better off not getting involved. Just have fun, post, read and engage.

That's a very good explanation - I wasn't going to explain it until I had a gauge of what had already gone beforehand, just thought it would be good to get that info out there right at the beginning so that they both have a better understanding. I got lectured about this at length when I started and through the time I've been here I've seen downvote wars. I've actually even got involved with one, my reasons were good and I stand by them, but I think your advice is good generally.

My father read The Hobbit to me when I was very small. It was an illustrated version using art from the old Rankin-Bass animated film. I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy when I was about 12. And today as a librarian, one of my regular Dungeons & Dragons players is even more of a Tolkien fan than I am.
I have been playing the Elder Scrolls games since Morrowind, and yes, I have played Oblivion. I couldn't beat the main story there because my computer couldn't handle the end-game chaos, alas.
The ending of Oblivion 😯 so good. Think my Xbox360 probably nearly crashed towards the end too, it was chaos throughout the whole city.
That's a pretty wild collection that you have yourself there. I particularly like the Lego stuff. It's been a while since I had any Lego, but i definitely enjoy it.

Pretty cool collection you got there. I might not be a fan of LOTR but I totally get the urge to stack up as many collectibles as you can. I'm a fan of Sidney Sheldon and the Lord knows, if I could buy anything of his from anywhere, best believe, I will.

I can not explain how much i love LOTR as well. It inspired me in so many ways. I love the tattoo though do you plan for more?
