Alleys and details of the Old Palma | Cityscape Photography Round 83 | ESP / ENG (17 pictures)
The neighbourhood that surrounds the Gothic Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca is the oldest in the city, originally populated by Jews and Muslims, then it changed until it housed the local aristocracy for centuries, which is why it is full of palaces built by the wealthy Mallorcan classes after the expulsion of the Jews and Muslims. The place still retains the atmosphere it had from the 16th century to the present day.
The urban decoration is dotted with architectural details, especially classical Mallorcan doors and windows that make the stroll through the narrow streets even more attractive.
ESP
