WEEKEND EXPERIENCE: Come and join me to visit my grandfather's little house on the farm.

Today I was very tired. Because my grandparents invited us yesterday to go to the farm today. While we were eating our dinner yesterday, our grandparents told us that my grandpa had a little house on our farm. We, as their grandchildren, were so shocked to know about it because it's been a long time since we visited their farm. My grandpa also told us that due to the rainy season and the last time that a typhoon visited our area, his house was broken and fell to the ground because of the wind, but now it's good again because he fixed it, and because of that, he is inviting us to visit the farm, which is what we did today.

Actually, yesterday, I couldn't decide if I would go or not. So I told them that I'm not sure yet. Because, like I said before, I am not the type of person who will go to this kind of family event. But this morning, my grandma woke me up early. I was in a bad mood because I sleep late at night and I'm still lacking sleep, so I feel sleepy. But then, I also like to see our grandpa's little house, so I decided to go too.

We skipped breakfast, and we even didn't take a bath. We decided to go already because it is difficult to walk when the weather is hot.

Six of us went. But only us—Grandma, Ate, me, and my dog Moy—walked. Meanwhile, my sister's boyfriend and our younger cousin rode a motorcycle because they were going to the store first to buy snacks.

I can't leave Moy at home because he doesn't have anyone with him, and another thing is that it's been raining for the past few days and he's always in my room. He hasn't been out for a walk yet, so I took him with me.

But half of me feels regretful about bringing him with me because it's hard to take care of a very stubborn and messy dog. My gosh! At my age now, I'm thinking, Now that I'm only taking care of a dog, I'm already struggling; how can it be when it's a baby? Lol

And because my dog is always peeing, our companions walk first.

I have something to share with you. As I was walking along this path earlier, I just remembered that when I was a child, this path was not paved yet. There is no road yet; it's just a farm. So, we had a hard time going to our grandparents' farm. Sometimes we even had to go behind our school because that was the only way to get to the farm.

Nothing; it's just fun to think that our government paid attention to put a road here to make it easier for farmers like my grandfather to walk to their rice fields. The things used in the rice fields can also pass, and they won't have difficulty lifting sacks full of corn, etc.

Anyway, my sister's boyfriend arrived first at the parking lot where Grandpa was putting his e-bike, and our cousin was with him. Because cars can't pass inside the farm, and you have to walk.

There is still a road to pass on the other side to get to Grandpa's farm, but we didn't want to torture ourselves any more because the weather is so hot, so we just walked inside to where there is a closer path to the farm.

It's hard when I'm carrying a pet while walking on such a path, huh? I think it's also a good exercise. I just wish I lost a few kilos. Lol

Anyway, after a few hours of walking, we finally arrived!

This is our grandfather's little house. This is where he rests, or where they rest when there are chores in the fields. It is made only of household iron and wood.

The location is still where my parents house is and where my sister grew up when she was still a kid. And one more thing: when I was a child, I used to come here often with my family. I also grew up on a farm because most of our family members are farmers. So I consider this one of the places in our barangay that is most important to me because it was part of my childhood, and I really have a lot of memories here in this place.

So the look of Grandpa's little house really reminds me of how poor we were when my sister and I were young, because that's just how our house used to be. It's like when we went to the farm and saw Grandpa's little house, the feeling of when I was a child came back.

It's just that our house used to be right here. but now because of the passage of time, it was made a shelter for grandfather's pets such as cows and goats.

Anyway, it's funny because our well is still here. Grandpa still uses it, and it also contains clean water. It is said that this is where he washes his clothes, washes the dishes, and sometimes takes a bath. I just can't imagine when he sleeps here at night. So scary!

It was already lunch time and we ate under the mango tree because it was windy. Our only table and chairs at that time were wooden. I enjoyed eating at this place again because the air is fresh and the food is delicious. These are the dishes when you are in the farm. Also eating with hands and I'm not ashamed that we're just poor so I'll actually post this too.

and after we eat, the fresh air makes us sleepy. That's why I thought of lying in the hammock while watching my dog ​​playing when he sees a chicken run here, run there. The funny thing is that it wasn't my grandfather's chicken. It's a chicken from a nearby house. My grandfather's joke is that he prefers my dog to chase their chicken so that we can bring home a dish. lol

and after a few hours of chasing after the chicken, he got tired. He fell asleep and slept with me in the hammock. Haha

When I woke up, I found my grandparents chatting on the side. I napped again and made the most of the time when I could still feel the fresh air to sleep well.

CONCLUSION:

Provincial life is really beautiful. Even if we are poor, the important thing is that there are events like this in our lives. My grandfather is also amazing because, even though he was tired from the farm and work, he never abandoned us, his grandchildren. He really made sure we had a table to eat at and a clean place to sit, and he also taught me where to wash the dishes—the things he does in his life on the farm. I'm not complaining, and to be honest, it seems more favorable to me so that I can also experience his daily life on the farm.
