I accompanied my pregnant sister to her checkup.
Wednesday is one of the days of the week I look forward to. It's because I'm thrilled to share and tell you about how my Wednesday became hectic, and I'm also excited to add another receipt to my junk journal (albeit it's not mine cuz my sister will be paying for everything today).
My Wednesday starts with how pissed I am because my younger cousin used my slipper. I told you in my previous blog about my life update, and right now, my ankle is still not in good condition because I dislocated it last month—but don't worry because I am able to walk now, but I still feel pain after walking. Anyway, I am pissed because I don't have a slipper to use. I can't wear my sneakers yet, but thankfully, my grandmother has an extra pair of slippers, which I used today.
Even though I am like this, I can still accompany my older sister going to the Urdaneta District Hospital for a check-up. She needed some pregnancy health records so she could be able to give birth in one of the hospitals nearby.
Do you know what I am thinking when taking a bath? That is, I am confident that today will be a long and exhausting day since I will have to deal with a stubborn pregnant woman again. Every time I accompany her, I unable to control her, and I realize how tough it is for a man to deal with his pregnant wife's mood swings.
Fortunately, from the moment we arrived at the RHU until we boarded the bus, my older sister was in a good mood. Perhaps she learned her lesson when I corrected her behavior.
When we got in front of CB Mall Urdaneta, We decided to go inside first because my sister needed to use the bathroom.

After that, we took a tricycle to UDH. The fare was 70 pesos for two people. I shrugged because several of the tricycle drivers there were constantly adjusting their fare prices. In fact, the cost of going around and traveling to surrounding CB and SM malls supposed to be only 25 pesos per person.
When we arrived at UDH, my sister went inside to find out what time the pregnant women's check-up was. We arrived at approximately 11 a.m. So I guess it's time for the workers' lunch break. So in my mind, I regretted telling her about it—it wasn't my first time at the UDH; I'd been there three times before for an anti-rabies vaccination shot.
Her schedule begins at 1 o'clock p.m. So we decided to go back to Magic Mall,
where they sell uniforms, because our younger needed it for her graduation photo tomorrow.
I didn't take any pictures there because I was worried that some thieves would try and get my phone again.
Fast forward, after buying a uniform and footwear, we decided to have lunch first. We stroll inside the Magic Mall to find a fast food restaurant. As previously indicated, I am not the one who will pay for everything. My sister wants to eat Chowking, so we go inside and buy some. Oh! I'm not the one paying, but I offer her my PWD ID for the discount.

While we were waiting for our ordered food to arrive, we both took pictures and talked. When I say talk, this is gossip time. we can't talk inside our house about the things that are happening in our family so we just talk outside.
Our food arrived, and we took some pictures again so our mother would have some pictures to look at. She's been busy these days because it's Ramadan time in Dubai right now.
What's funny today is that my older sister complains that her noodles don't have any toppings. I chuckled because she asked, "Why do your noodles have toppings but mine doesn't, even if it's just a single carrot?" She complained to the waiter who went by, and it was also lucky that her manager was around. They also both laughed about it.
After we ate, I informed her I needed her to accompany me to search for and buy adhesive eyelashes. I needed it for tomorrow because I had three customers to do their hair and makeup. But we couldn't buy anymore because our clock read 1 p.m. We rushed back to UDH to get in line immediately.
The most difficult thing to me is waiting in line for hours. Thankfully, we arrived early and are second in line for pregnant ladies. My older sister filled out something on the piece of paper which the lady gave them, and then they called out the batches numbers one by one, allowing her to enter right away. Meanwhile, I waited outside with the spouses of each of the pregnant women who were with her at the time.
During the three hours of waiting, all I did was watch the Korean drama that I had been streaming for the past week. The title of this drama is Reply 1988. I'm an introvert, therefore I felt embarrassed to laugh during one of the episode scene. I find it tough to stop laughing because it's funny to watch and everyone is staring at me at the time. I forgot that i am not the only person there. Huhu Fortunately, my sister is finished and only needs to buy her doctor-prescribed medicine. So I closed my phone right away and just focused to my sister and pretend that I didn't do something.
After she bought her medicine, we walked to find a tricycle. And while we were walking, she told me something that I wasn't aware before: one of her medicines needed to be put inside. Ugh! Blah blah. I don't want to hear it again since it's awkward for me to discuss it, even though we're both women and you know what? She keeps pestering me about it till we find a tricycle to ride to SM.
She told me that she needed to buy some mother's milk. However, she decided to simply buy it to the FSI. So we just bought a drink and pasalubong for our younger cousin then walked to where we usually wait for buses.
When we arrived at the FSI, we decided to separate ways for a little since I needed to walk to the supermarket and find for adhesive eyelashes. While she needed to go inside the FSI to buy some milk. However, when I arrived in the supermarket, I couldn't find eyelashes I wanted, so I returned to the FSI to find her.
My sister had bought everything she needed, so we proceeded to the Priority lane to pay. This is not my first time lining up in the priority lane for pregnant, disabled, and senior citizens, but the cashiers are gazing at me even though my sister is pregnant, not me. Huhu
We're about to go to the tricycle parking lot to grab a tricycle to ride home, when my sister want to get fried one-day-old chicken and proven nuggets. So I accompanied her again and walked to where the vendor was.
And this is how I end my Wednesday walk with her. Though I had just endured pain on my foot, especially around the ankle area, I did not tell my elder sister because all she had at this stage during her pregnant journey was me. As her sister, I must accompany her for the sake of my nephew.

Nuxxz, parang di kayo nagkakainisan ni sis mo minsan ah, uwu. This serves like a date too ano, with your sister, with and everything. And I can relate jan sa di makatawa kapag asa public places. Pero minsan tumatawa na rin ako, lalo di naman nila ko kilala hahaha. And I watch short clip abt Reply 1988 b4. Mukha naman syang maganda kasi i'm still in doubt if I will like it ba. Uwu. Maganda ga?
Parang peaceful no? Drama-Comedy.
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day
Have a great day too!
