Today I am gonna review yet another awesome supporting abilities in splinterlands; Shatter.

Shatter ability monsters completely destroys the shield of its target.

Shatter is the biggest treat of all heavily shielded monsters. Even Cleanse application can recover shattered shield up to 2 only.

Currently there are sixteen monsters in splinterlands with Shatter ability. Among sixteen Shatter monsters three belong to Water, three belong to Fire, three belong to Life, two belong to death, three belong to earth, one belong to Dragon and one to neutral splinter.

`Usage`

Placement of Shatter ability depends upon their attack. Ranged ability Shatter monsters are best suited in back ranks, from where they can destroy shield of enemy tanks.

`Favorite Shatter Monster`

My favorite Shatter ability monsters are UNDEAD ARCHER and NAGA WINDMASTER since both of them have Shatter ability right from lev-1 and have low cost.

`Cost`

GOBLIN DARTLING is the Cheapest Shatter monster, costing 0.03$/BCX but needs to be upgraded significantly to get Shatter ability.

`Complementing Abilities`

Shatter ability monsters can be complemented decently with other abilities. Few useful complementing abilities are Protect, Triumph, Triage, Blind, Slow, Swiftness, Devine Shield, Repair and Strengthen.

`Demo Battle`

In this low mana battle the application of Shatter proved to be critical in my victory. Shatter application took out heavy shield of GOBLIN MECH to leave it vulnerable.
