Time for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge.

To spice up weakly battle challenge splinterlands came up with idea of BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge will allows players to showcase their strategic skills through their line up in battle field in variety of battle rulesets.

So theme for this week's BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge is Lost Magic. Lost magic ruleset means Magic attack unit can't be used in battle field including dual attack monsters having one magical attack part.

How to Play

With Magic units out of picture, things become pretty clear with only Melee and Range attack in play. So Throns and Return Fire abilities can be employed effectivily to counter the enemy. More over use of Shield, Shield Repair and Reflection Armor abilities become more critical.

Suited Summoners

Best suited summoner with Lost Magic ruleset are YODIN ZAKU, KELYA FRENDUL, LIR DEEPSWIMMER, POSSIBILUS THE WISE, PRINCE RENNYN, MYLOR CROWLING,ILTHAIN, THE PEAKRIDER, CHANSEUS THE GREAT, and QUIX THE DEVIOUS.

MY BATTLE With Little League Ruleset

This was a 21 mana battle with three battle rules; Lost Magic, Briar Patch and Back to Basics. Only Death and Life Splinters were allowed.

MY LINEUP

ILTHAIN

With Lost Magic and Briar Patch rulesets in play, it was clear that ranged attack would take priority in this battle. So I went with ILTHAIN to counter the expected ranged attack. ILTHAIN is one of the best summoner to counter ranged attack.

SOUL FIEND

Up front I used Zero mana monster SOUL FIEND, just to soak up initial enemy attack thrust. Zero mana monsters become pretty important in low mana battles.

FURIIUS CHICKEN

Next I used another Zero mana monster, FURIIUS CHICKEN. It was used for the same reasons, that are filling in the deck slot and absorbing the enemy attack.

PELACOR CONJURER

Next, I placed PELACOR CONJURER. PELACOR CONJURER is one of the best low mana tanks out there. With its heavy speed this guy is pretty hard to hit and kill.

ALMO CAMBIO

Next, I placed legendaryALMO CAMBIO as a back up tank. With Briar Patch ruleset and Return Fire from my summoner I need only to survive and making enemy suffer with Throns and Return Fire, without focusing on attacking.

PORTAL SPINNER

On the second last position, I PORTAL SPINNER to serve as my ranged attack monster. With decent ranged attack and some shield it is really a nice ranged monster choice.

THUNDERBIRD

On the last position, I used THUNDERBIRD as low mana ranged attack monster. Again it was all just optional just to fill up the slot.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

This was an easy battle. I didn't left much room for the enemy to manuver. With enemy summoner and monsters choices it didn't required much attacking from my part and he scummed to Throns and Return Fire.
