Chaos Legion... End is Coming!

One of the best thing I love about splinterlands is that there is always a lot of stuff happening around which creates profiting opportunities not only for players but for non-gaming investors too.

Soon we are going to reach another important milestone as 14 million Chaos packs sales is coming to an end. God, who would have though we would reach there so soon. With the launch of Chaos packs many criticized the 15 million supply to be too much and even though SL resorted to packs burning in the latter stages of the sale but still millions of packs getting sold out is no minor feat.

As of now, 223,833 chaos packs are available for sale after which only way to get them is going to be via secondary market or getting lucky in loot chests openings(SL team reserved packs for loot chest rewards till Rebellion arrives). With 25000 packs burned every days the hard stop date is March 31st, after which all remaining packs will be burned for ever. But I doubt it will come to that, especially with Chaos Legion sunsetting promotion coming after the sale of 14 million packs.

In short, Chaos packs are going to end that's a mathematical certainty. And like with previous packs editions once out of sale, their price is going to shoot up in secondary market. Some of the previous editions packs prices have easily pulled 10X-50X price increase in secondary market. With largest pack supply than any other edition, playing it safe I would say Chaos packs will see 2X-5X price spike soon after going out of sale.

As of now Chaos packs are selling in secondary market at $2.3 a piece. I wouldn't be surprised to see the price touching $5 a pack in coming month or two. That is easiest of the investment opportunity laying there in the open. So go on and fill your bags with Chaos packs while they are still available. $2.3 a pack compared with $4 ingame price is such a steal. With only one airdrop character left, I am expecting parity between primary and secondary market soon. However sunsetting promotion might still result in some difference.

I myself do have a Chaos purchasing plan, once 14 million packs sold mark
reaches and Chaos Legion sunsetting promotion gets activated. I am looking forward to be the part of a group purchase, lets see how it goes.

But before that I have to take care of maxing out my Chaos deck as after packs going out of sale individual card prize are also going to spike. For now I have most of the legendary and epic chaos cards maxed so only ones left to deal with are rares and commons.
