Maybe, someone remembers I played Atlanteans before TF. A video on my youtube, for example, posted 10 months ago. Although they couldn't be competitive even in Auric but it was much fun, and this fun was noticed by @cautionfun who decided to reward me for this research with 2 gold Volcanic Watcher, 2 gold Undertow Rover, and 2 shadow Rolling Watcher. 😎

It also was me who reached the GU support to make them fix bugged Crystalseer Acolyte:

• My bug report with short video on Reddit posted 9 months ago which nobody noticed
• Then, I wrote them an e-mail. And this is GU support's answer to my letter:

Thanks for your patience. I've received a new update from our developers that they were able to reproduce the bug where "Crystalseer Acolyte" gives buff to a dead friendly creature, and they're currently working on a fix for it. Please rest assured that once this issue is resolved, we will post an update on our Patch notes and our Discord channel, so stay tuned.

Whose Blame I Started Buying TF Cards 😄

Recently, I read an opinion of @kstreet 😀 who made an assumption that purchasable TF cards may become more expensive because the initial flood of buys may turn into a trickle at some point while you can't win these cards in WR.

I could have hardly resisted buying TF cards, and this opinion was enough to break my weak resistance 😄 I analyzed the purchasable TF cards and came to the conclusion that I only needed 2 Crystaltechnics, 2 Diffusion, 2 Atlant Raptor. So, they became part of my collection. 😎

I, of course, want many WR TF cards to play an Atlantean-only deck but I may wait until prices will drop. I can also win some of them soon. I've made 11/18 in Ethereal Diamond this WR with HRD, and am waiting for reward packs to see what's inside. 🙂 But before I have a vast collection of TF Atlanteans, I decided to try my new TF Atlanteans I had bought within the old deck. This is what I got as a result:

How to Play the Deck

The central idea is this: get control of the board and copy-and-buff a creature with Crystaltechnics, better a big creature, better with ward or protected. 🙂

Zaskia has a special role - 2 Crystaltechnics are the only manasurge spells in the deck so Zaskia draws and manasurges only the key card of the deck, Crystaltechnics, and, thus, Zaskia is the third way to draw this key card. For example, it means, if you draw a Crystaltechnics early, you can use it without manasurge for buffing minions and getting control of the board, knowing that you still have two slots in the deck that draw the rest 1 Crystaltechnics.

Worth mentioning Volcanic Watcher - this is an amazing card with always-growing health and boost.

When you cast Crystaltechnics on it and give it +2/+2, it became a real immortal killer! Its boost grows too so 1 Wyrmbreath can finish the opponent's god.

Diffusion, as an amazing board clearing spell, becomes even more powerful with Volcanic Watcher's boost. Look at this:

3 Volcanic Watchers with boost 12, strength 13, health 26 + Scuttler Sentry. Awesome! 😀

Crackling Bolt is needed to remove small creatures (mana 3) or frontlines (mana 5).

I may swap Crackling Bolt for Sampler Archive.

It's common card cost 3.5 GODS - tired of expenses. I'll win or buy it a bit later.

TF Atlanteans has their own ways to draw cards but they work perfectly in Atlantean-only decks with few spells. In my case, better to use old ways: Frenetic Bibliomaniac and Safeguard Incantation. Frenetic Bibliomaniac has another role: it buffs Volcanic Watcher.

How to Get Control of the Board Playing Against Aggro Decks

This deck's specialty is the afterlife-damage army of 2 Theoretical Thaumaturge, 2 Scuttler Sentry, 2 Time-Bomb.

Diffusion is an amazing addition to that machine gun shooting. Volcanic Watcher with boost makes Diffusion even more powerful.

Hidden creatures have no chance. 😔

Dragons finished in 5 turns - Crystaltechnics + power of double Undertow Rovers

Undertow Rover, Phase Touched Golem, and amazing Crystalseer Acolyte often are great choices for the early game.

Buffing these powerful cards with (even un-manasurged) Crystaltechnics make them invulnerable to Blight Bomb, Umber Arrow, Empowered Savage Strike, etc.

What to Add

Atlant Regulator would be good probably.

Of course, this row of wins can be an issue of luck. But the deck has become much stronger than before TF and people don't understand what to await - this give extra chance... So... I will continue this research! 🙂
