Three Tune Tuesday on Wednesday! It's an encore!
Yes, once again I am pulling up the end and offering a #TTT encore performance! At least, it's an encore in the sense that it's an after-the-fact Wednesday #TTT because I plum ran out of time yesterday.
Three Tune Tuesday (TTT) is a feature organized by @ablaze in which people share three tunes they enjoy every Tuesday. It is an absolutely fantastic way to come across some really great music that one may not have heard before.
Every week I share three songs from my collection of pre-1923 78rpm records. Not only do I record these on vintage phonographs, to keep the correct feel of the songs, but I spin these live at noon EDT at https://blindskeleton.one/radio. Come listen! I record the show and later upload it as a podcast, too.
This week I'm sharing some songs that came to mind from some weekend activities. On Sunday I ended up watching a Fred Astair movie named Broadway Melody of 1940 and it got me thinking of broadway show tunes. I know I have some (I have plenty), but I ended up choosing Broadway Blues as my first song:
The Broadway Blues
This song is fun vocal track accompanied by an orchestra. These old, old records were difficult to record, and vocals are really difficult to keep clean throughout the years, but this one still sounds really good.
Rainy Day Blues
From the Broadway Blues I played a word association game to get to Rainy Day Blues. This song was recorded by Wilbur Sweatman's Original Jazz Band and, frankly, who doesn't like that name alone? It was a rainy day when I chose this song, but playing it certainly made the day brighter.
Behind Your Silken Veil
My last song of the week is Behind Your Silken Veil, a mash up of two other songs about women. Yes, for over one hundred years people have been recording songs about women. Some things will never change. And once again we have a terrific band name: Yerkes Jazzarimba Orchestra. I have a number of Yerkes's songs, and they're all just as good. Definitely more to come from them.

What I Learned Today
I had never heard these melodies before, I certainly felt like I was in a movie.
Thank you for enriching our musical repertoire with these fantastic melodies that transport us to Broadway.
Blessings 🙂🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻
Dear @wwwiebe, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Your support would be really appreciated.
Thank you!
Another fantastic trio from the man who weekly brings us on a trip back in time, really enjoyed the trio again this week.
