Entry for the Shadow Contest(SMASh)|| Shadows and Clouds

Sometime last week, I got a call saying that some of the items I ordered online had arrived. I waited for this call for two weeks and I must say that I was really happy to receive the call. Not because my goods had arrived but because I thought they would never arrive. I have had terrible experiences with online shipping companies and I'm glad that this wasn't one of those experiences.

The goods arrived but the pick up station wasn't a known location. I asked a few friends of mine who lived around the said location and none of them knew this place. I panicked a bit. After so much deliberation, I remembered that my sister lived around that vicinity too.

I asked her if she knew the place and yes she did. She narrated her story about how she found the place. I wonder why pick up stations would be situated deep inside a street and the numbering on the street is not in accordance. I saw number three at the beginning of the road and a few steps from number three I saw number twenty-two then fifteen. So much confusion.

After hiking for about ten minutes under the blazing sun, we finally reached. I was really exhausted after the hike but the joy of opening my package pumped me up. The road was relatively dry and very few humans were visible.

Also there weren't lots of eye-catching objects to capture, so I didn't take many pictures. But remember I said the sun was scorching? Yes, so I got the opportunity to capture some shadows and the beautiful clouds too. I'm a sucker for nature and the clouds are my second best, after gardens.

The stares we got from passersby as I stopped every two metres to capture shadows and clouds was really amusing. They gave the "what is wrong with these girls" look. Over the years, I have learnt to ignore such looks:)

This is my entry into the show me a shadow (SMASH) contest. I'm really glad I was able to submit an entry. What do you think of the images? I would love to hear your views.
