In anticipation of the 2024 presidential contest, the first televised discussion between Donald Trump and Joe Biden concluded with a 1 to 0 victory for the former US president, or maybe a tie for others. All that is clear, though, is that if Trump hasn't overtaken (or attacked?) his opponent, the Democrats are embarrassed by Joe Biden himself. The US president appeared to stammer as he tried to explain his ideas on many occasions. Biden's pale skin, big eyes, gravelly voice, and tentative pronunciation were all evident throughout their debates with the former president Donald Trump. Biden had a somewhat perplexing performance. Additionally, although Trump hasn't exactly excelled in the eyes of certain observers either, Biden's age is a critical issue.

Following the live meeting in the CNN studios, Democrats began to question if he was a suitable candidate. Similar to a boxer spotting his opponent's weakness based more on his physical attributes than the strength of his arguments, Trump used the occasion to refocus the discussion on the shortcomings of the current administration on multiple occasions, stoking concerns about immigration and the status of the economy.

There were plenty of allusions to the 2020 election, with Trump even questioning President Joe Biden's outcome at one point. Little was done by the president to allay the concerns of a sizable portion of Biden's voters who were already uncomfortable with his campaign. Just 51% of potential voters who had favored Biden over Trump in a New York Times/Siena College survey conducted before to the debate indicated they wanted Biden to be the Democratic nominee. Forty-five percent of respondents felt that a different candidate should be chosen. Furthermore, 53% of supporters of Joe Biden expressed strong or moderate agreement with the statement that Biden is too elderly to be a successful president.
