The "When" I'm Curious About | LOH #151

Happy anniversary LoH!

Happy to be part of this community!
Even just knowing that there's a space for ladies like us here on Hive, I'm already happy to know. How much more when we get to meet and support different ladies from all over the world? I'm overjoyed! We got to share our experiences here as a daughter, a mother, a grandmom, an aunt, and a single lady - whichever you belong.

If I'm the judge, these are the two questions I'm curious about.

My first question would be about relationships. If you don't have a partner, friendship works too.

If you're in a relationship, when do you call it quits?
Or if you're single, when do you call it quits in friendship?

I know you might say when the partner is cheating, but aside from that, what else makes you decide to let go and move on with life? What if there's no cheating involved? I'm sure you don't wake up just one day and end your relationship then and there.

Well, there are even women who still accept their partner even when they cheat so I guess that's not the real dealbreaker of a relationship.

So deep down, what are the real factors that made/will make you leave especially when you're in a relationship for so long?

Is it the trust being broken many times? Is it the everyday arguments? Or is loving not enough?

My 2nd question would be about friendships.

Even though I am an introvert, I could say I have a lot of friends. Some I haven't been in touch with for a while, but they still remain as my friends. Actually, if I meet someone, talked with him/her for few minutes, I think of that someone as my friend, immediately. Is there something wrong of me to think that way? I think I skipped the acquaintance part. 😅

So because of this, here's my question.

When do you promote an acquaintance to a friend?

I think there's a fine line between being an acquaintance and a friend. What's that fine line and how does an acquaintance pass that in order to be called your friend?

There are surely many elements that are required for an acquaintance to become your friend like time, trust, support, shared interests, shared values, and a lot more.

Those are the questions I'm curious about.

Thanks for reading!
See you around! じゃあ、またね!

With love,

May malalim na pinaghuhugutan questions mo madam haha are those questions based sa personal experience? 😅.
About the first question, i guess I call it quits if there is lack of communication already...aside from love, that's one of the main aspects that strengthen a relationship..if you feel like the other one is losing the desire to communicate with you well, something is going on that should be taken into account...
That is why I don't like LDR 🤣🤣..

Hahaha di ah! 😂 Curious lang! 😅
Ohhh, communication. Yeah, in every relationship it’s important to communicate so if that’s not happening, esp LDR, awww something is definitely off. Did you do the official breakup or did you just ghost?

I think I called it quits with a friend recently solely for the reason that we now wanted different things and I hated feeling like the bad person. I can't keep friends much less make them. Many have said it is a bad habit and I wish I was bothered enough to actually do something about it. But I love and cherish the friends I have online. Maybe that is why I don't care for many of them here.

Ohhh 😲 Recently?! Hmm, I hope I didn’t open up a fresh wound.
I also cherish my online friends, but it’s also as important to cherish the offline ones. But not sure about your situation.. 😞

For me, relationship is over when respect doens't served anymore. For me, respect is one of the ultimate factor in a relationship.

Indeed respect is very important. Actually in all kinds of relationships, romantic or not, respecr should be there.

!LUV the questions!
As the song goes, sometimes love just ain't enough 😄 There are a lot of factors but one key factor could be having different life goals. When our values and priorities don't align, it can lead to unhappiness.

I still don't know how to answer the second one, prolly because I sometimes call my acquaintances friends 😆

Ah, yes, different life goals could be a reason too. It's kinda sad but sometimes we have to let go if the love is kinda a hindrance or just simply different paths taken in life. Hehe

Many things would make me walk away from a relationship. One of them is trust when a partner I trust, loses my trust and is not ready to gain it back, I don't have any reason to continue with such a relationship.

Trust is really important. If there's no trust, I can't imagine how a relationship could go on and be stronger.

, "ay sayd sthap the kar!"

Ganun.

Ay nice answers Jam, but how do you know if you’re the only one loving and understanding? What if pala nagmamahal sya and ganun lang pala talaga sya mag mahal dba hehe cute ng stahp the kar 😅 pang kdrama

And oh yes comfortable being together, that’s nice too. I think yan siguro rason why I have lots of friends because I’m so comfortable with them.

Very relevant questions in this age where our liberalized culture tends to cheapen the value of our relationships at every level.

Yeah, it's one of the many things I wonder about.

There is nothing wrong with thinking of people you have just met as friends, that just tells us that you are a sunny, friendly, optimistic person, right?

I think after sharing 'life-stuff' people raise up the friend ladder for me. Experiences often bond us and shared experiences do so even more. Ultimately the heart tells us who is a friend, I think.

As for when to end a relationship or friendship is mostly because I believe we are growing in different directions, want different things and are just becoming very different people. This is not a good or bad thing, just a natural end to an experience.

Have a wonderful day, keep making friends, are we friends now? I hope so!!! 🤣

Be well 😎🌞

Wow, thank you for the kind words. I'm not sure if I am but thank you!

Ohhh now that you mention it, indeed yeah. We're growing and learning from our past and others' experiences so indeed friendship/relationships could be affected. And thanks for letting me it's a natural thing. Up til now, I'm kinda guilty of ending relationships/friendships and not thinking that it's just natural for it to be like that.

When there is no respect in both relationships they can be considered as a quit call. If they don’t value you or prioritise you then there’s no need to stay with them. It’s a loss project in the end it won’t end up with a good result but only pain and betrayal.
