🌾My friends and I went on a short trip to an ethnic village today🌾
Hello my loving Asean Hive community,
Long time no see my friends. Do you remember that in the past I was always posting about DIY, papercraft, and delicious recipes? It's been more than 2 months since I wrote a new post. The reason I haven't posted new posts in the past 2 months is because I've been spending a lot of time on a new course. I will tell you about that course later. Today I will tell you about a beautiful village near my town.
Today, my friends and I visited a village near our town. That village is the hometown of a friend of mine, so she took us to visit. There are many beautiful villages around my town. Among them, the name of the village I went to today is 'Se Luang' village. That village is a famous village in Shan state. The reason is that this village was the hometown of a queen of a long ago Burmese king. In that village, a small pagoda was also built for that queen and worshiped. I didn't go to that pagoda today, so I'll talk about it later.
Shan and Palaung ethnic groups mainly live in that village. Today, my friends and I visited a pagoda built by the Palaung tribes in that village. On the way to that pagoda, I met a Palaung grandmother. The grandmother put some firewood in her basket and brought it. Have you seen the basket used by that grandmother before? That basket is the kind of basket that is carried using the head.
That grandmother is almost 60 years old. My friend told me that the grandmother brought the firewood from the mountain. I also know that there are many plantations and a viewpoint on that mountain, which I will tell you about later. I was amazed that the old lady, who was almost 60 years old, could carry firewood from the mountain like that. My friend said that the elderly people in their village are very healthy and strong.
The picture above is a distant view of the pagoda we visited today.
The picture shown above is the entrance of that pagoda. There are also many young novices in that monastery. By the time we arrived at that pagoda, it was already 10 o'clock in the morning. However, due to the cloudy weather today, the pictures look like they were taken early in the morning. Below are some pictures I took at that pagoda.
Inside, it's very peaceful and calming. Everywhere is clean and the novices are playing.
I also took some flowers from my town to donate to that pagoda.
A lot of flowers have been planted around the pagoda yard. There are also many mango trees.
There is also a baby monkey there. At first, I didn't take food for the monkey because I didn't know there was a monkey there. My friend told me that there are rabbits there, but I didn't see any today. Next time I go, I plan to get some fruit for them. I have also listed below some of the pictures I took today.
That's all for today. Thank you so much for reading my post.🍇
