Visiting different points of the city of Puerto Ordaz
Today I got up early with the idea of taking a tour of the city, passing by certain places that I know but that I have not stopped to appreciate the place, I had always passed by by car or by bus, but let's say that these are places that have their own attraction in the city but perhaps not many people pay attention to them. Therefore, first I accompanied my wife to her dental hygienist course, to then take a bus to La Piña roundabout, which is known practically as the entrance to the city of Puerto Ordaz.
The bus ride was approximately 15 minutes and then I continued my route walking in a straight line through part of the city. First I started taking photos of the Rosa Bela hotel, which has always caught my attention for its grand architecture, and a few meters away is the La Piña redoma, which is the first time I have walked around the place, usually I had always driven around it, but this time I did take the time to appreciate and take photos of the place, where you can see that there are benches to sit on and all the decoration of this redoma square. Now I continued my way along the entire avenue in a straight line, it was meters and meters walking until I could see the city airport, I hoped to take some photos of planes taking off but at that moment none were taking off, but I was able to photograph a plane that serves as a sculpture or installation of the place, perhaps of a plane no longer in service.
In this area of the airport there are several hotels and the bus terminal is very close, and my next stop was at the La Paz roundabout, where there is also a small plaza with some sculptures in honor of the workers and companies of the city. I even noticed diagonally that there were tents of a temporary circus but it was not open. In the midst of intense heat and after having rested, I continued my journey to make another small stop at Orinokia, where I took photos of the emblematic waterfall installation of the shopping center, as an allusion to the natural spaces of the city.
I continued my way inside the shopping center to get some fresh air, although it is a very long shopping center with almost 2 kilometers of routes before reaching the Monumental Plaza, to then reach my next destinations such as the Plaza De Los Tubos and the Plaza del Hierro, where I would close my total journey for this day with approximately 6 kilometers traveled, where I was able to visit and get to know places in the city that I had never spent the night in the past. So this day was a day of exercise, of photographs and of getting to know more about the city where I live. Although the heat and the sun can be very stifling, in the end the result and the objective of this journey was gratifying. I hope to continue with other journeys in the coming days and perhaps move to other nearby cities.
All photographs are my own.
