Cats and selective light - Monomad Challenge
Today I had planned to publish some photos that I had pending in black and white, but when I got up this morning I wanted to take a moment to capture my cats and make some compositions that caught my attention. Just as you can see in the photographs posted today, I noticed that there was a light coming in from the bathroom of the apartment, and at first some of my cats were posing as if they liked the idea of getting some sun, I think they need it because they have never left this apartment and the light coming in is very little due to the location of the apartment.
Of course I couldn't help but take advantage of this circumstance where I apply that composition that I would call selective in details in the motifs, as you can see in certain photos or let's say in all of them the focus directed at details of the cats' bodies and their partially dark surroundings, all thanks to that small light coming in, although I was also a little patient so that the cats would be placed in that part where the light was reflected.
For this type of photographic compositions, it is only possible to achieve them in the morning hours when the sun, due to its location, allows light to enter through the bathroom. Otherwise, in the afternoon, there is no more light entering the apartment, unlike the apartment where we lived before, where the sun during the sunset entered in front of the main window and I used to take many photographs during that process of sunset. These are details that I miss from the place where I lived before, where I took advantage of that natural light to create some compositions from my home.
All photographs are my own.
Give'em some chin scratches for me!
Hahahahaha I always do, as a reward for the photos.
