Otro día de vacaciones siendo niñero // Another vacation day as a babysitter

Es un nuevo día en mi vida siendo niñero de mi pequeña prima, bueno un día me dice padrino, otro día me dice tío y así estamos, y fue en mi ultima semana de vacaciones pues, ya el próximo lunes 17 comienzan todas mis clases en la universidad y probablemente este muy ocupado con eso. Lo cierto es que mi primera clase de hidráulica agrícola fue relativamente fácil, simplemente hidrología, cuencas y algunas cuencas hidrológicas del país.
Bueno volviendo al tema de ser niñero pues, estuvo genial y entretenido sobre todo que esta niña literalmente tiene una pregunta a todo, ¿Por que pasa esto?, ¿Por que vamos a este lugar?

It is a new day in my life being a babysitter of my little cousin, well one day she calls me godfather, another day she calls me uncle and so we are, and it was in my last week of vacation because next Monday 17th all my classes start at the university and I will probably be very busy with that. The truth is that my first class of agricultural hydraulics was relatively easy, just hydrology, watersheds and some hydrological basins of the country.
Well back to the subject of being a babysitter, well, it was great and entertaining especially that this girl literally has a question to everything, why is this happening, why are we going to this place, why are we going to this place?

Por ejemplo fuimos a comer helados, muy buenos por cierto, eran helados estilo rolls, de los que hacen en una plancha fría literal y comienzan a cortar los ingredientes con la vainilla y así hacen el helado. Luego de eso llego a casa le conto a mi papá, llamo a la mamá y estuvo toda la tarde diciendo que por que los helados eran así enrollados, y por que los hacían así, que era muy raro comer helados de esta manera y un sin fin de preguntas sobre el tema.😂😂😂

For example we went to eat ice cream, very good by the way, they were ice cream rolls style, the kind they make on a literal cold plate and start cutting the ingredients with the vanilla and that's how they make the ice cream. After that I came home and told my dad, he called my mom and spent the whole afternoon telling her why the ice creams were rolled like that, and why they were made like that, that it was very weird to eat ice creams this way and a lot of questions about the subject.😂😂😂😂

Igual otro día fuimos de compras, y bueno ese día estuvo super contenta, por que le prometimos ir a comer pizza en la tarde, el plan inicial era ir al cine a ver intensa mente 2, pero por ser estreno el cine estaba muy full y bueno no pudimos comprar entradas para una función que no fuera tan tarde. Lo cierto es que fuimos a Ciudad traki, que es básicamente uno de los centros comerciales mas grandes de acá, y bueno le pareció que caminamos muchísimo y vimos tanta ropa que parecía infinita la compra, hasta nos pregunto: Tío ustedes no están cansados de ver ropa, pues sinceramente nos reímos y fuimos a otras tiendas a ver que podiamos comprarle.
Por allí le tomamos una foto con Optimus prime, y pregunto tan inocentemente si no se iba a convertir en auto, hasta las personas que iban pasando se rieron de esa pregunta, pues la verdad para tener 8 años, y no haber venido muy seguido a la ciudad como que le despierta curiosidad por cada cosa que hacíamos.

The other day we went shopping, and well that day she was super happy, because we promised her to go to eat pizza in the afternoon, the initial plan was to go to the movies to see Intense Mind 2, but being a premiere the cinema was very full and well we could not buy tickets for a function that was not so late. The truth is that we went to Ciudad Traki, which is basically one of the biggest malls here, and well he thought we walked a lot and we saw so many clothes that it seemed infinite shopping, he even asked us: Uncle you are not tired of seeing clothes, well honestly we laughed and went to other stores to see what we could buy.
Over there we took a picture of him with Optimus Prime, and he asked so innocently if he was not going to become a car, even the people who were passing by laughed at that question, because the truth for being 8 years old, and not having come very often to the city as that awakens his curiosity for everything we did.

Y como lo prometido es deuda, la llevamos pizza y al lugar que fuimos había un pequeño espacio para niños, donde tenían inflables y camas de resorte, en un principio le dije que se fuera a jugar y le daba pena, pero luego de ir con ella y casi tener que montarme para que ella se sintiera cómoda, por fin tuvo confianza y no se quería bajar ni del tobogán y de la cama de resortes, estuvo allí por mas de 20 min seguidos hasta que la comida estuvo lista.

And as promised, we took her pizza and the place we went was a small space for children, where they had inflatables and spring beds, at first I told her to go play and she was embarrassed, but after going with her and almost having to ride me to make her feel comfortable, she finally had confidence and did not want to get off the slide and the spring bed, she was there for more than 20 minutes straight until the food was ready.

Y bueno como le explico a una pequeña de 8 años que Good of War y Resident Evil no son videojuegos para niños😂, saben que tengo un ps3 y esta semana lo libere, así que tengo un montón de juegos de ps1,ps2 y ps3, pues descargue la vieja escuela de videojuegos de ps1, y a ella le descargue videojuegos de Disney como atlantis, bichos la película, los increíbles, incluso crash team racing, y adivine que ninguno le gusto para nada, pero cuando jugaba resident evil 3, que a pesar de los malos gráficos aun da cierto terror, a ella le encantaba este y le pedía permiso a mi mamá para que yo la dejara jugar, o incluso Good of War.

And well how do I explain to a little 8 year old girl that Good of War and Resident Evil are not video games for kids😂, you know I have a ps3 and this week I released it, so I have a lot of ps1,ps2 and ps3 games, well I downloaded the old school ps1 video games, and to her I downloaded Disney video games like atlantis, bugs the movie, the incredibles, even crash team racing, and guess what, she didn't like any of them at all, but when she played resident evil 3, which despite the bad graphics still gives some terror, she loved it and asked my mom for permission to let me play it, or even Good of War.

Bueno fue una semana y entretenida siendo niñero, por que sinceramente yo fui el de la idea de traerla acá, por que ella es muy tierna y muy educada así que como premio decidimos que vendría con nosotros unas vacaciones. La historia de por que me dice padrino, es por que su prima-hermana es mi ahijada mayor y me dice padrino en todo momento y ella desde pequeña me dice así, a veces tío por que a mi papá le dicen tío al verlo. Y bueno mi mamá que es la tía que mas la consiente.

Well it was a fun week being a babysitter, because honestly I was the one with the idea of bringing her here, because she is very tender and very polite so as a reward we decided that she would come with us for a vacation. The story of why she calls me godfather, is because her cousin-sister is my older goddaughter and she calls me godfather all the time and since she was little she calls me that, sometimes uncle because they call my dad uncle when they see him. And my mom is the aunt who spoils her the most.
