Navidad en familia - Nuestra cena navideña / Family Christmas - Our Christmas dinner.

Se llegó la navidad y nosotros hicimos nuestra cena en familia, estamos una pequeña parte de la familia acá en Colombia el resto reunidos en Venezuela para el cumpleaños de mi abuela que es el día 25, como todos los años es una tradición. Pero nosotros no nos quedamos atrás e hicimos los preparativos para compartir una increíble cena, eso si fue un poquito por que todos trabajábamos hasta cierta hora, mi hermano por ejemplo trabajo hasta las 5pm y llego acá de noche, y nosotros cerramos hasta las 10pm, allí nos fuimos súper rápido a la casa para bañarnos y comer juntos

Christmas is here and we made our family dinner, we are a small part of the family here in Colombia and the rest of the family gathered in Venezuela for my grandmother's birthday which is on the 25th, as every year it is a tradition. But we did not stay behind and we made the preparations to share an incredible dinner, it was a little bit because we all worked until a certain time, my brother for example worked until 5pm and arrived here at night, and we closed until 10pm, there we went super fast to the house to bathe and eat together.

Entre todos hicimos un diseño navideño para camisas personalizadas, cada uno con su nombre y algo curioso que me di cuenta es que algunos vecinos hicieron los mismo, pues por un momento salimos a la calle y gran parte de las personas estaban fuera con sus franelas familiares.

Between all of us we made a Christmas design for personalized shirts, each one with their name and something curious that I realized is that some neighbors did the same, because for a moment we went out to the street and most of the people were outside with their family flannels.

Mientras mis primos y yo estábamos en el trabajo mi tía y mi prima estuvieron preparando la cena desde temprano. Hicieron un plato típico que no puede faltar en nuestras cenas, hallacas y compraron pan de jamón, ademas de la ensalada de gallina, esto no no puede faltar en una cena de mi familia. Mientras tanto nosotros preparamos pernil de cerdo en el horno y también quedo super delicioso.

While my cousins and I were at work my aunt and cousin were preparing dinner early in the morning. They made a typical dish that can not miss in our dinners, hallacas and bought ham bread, plus chicken salad, this can not miss in a dinner of my family. Meanwhile we prepared pork leg in the oven and it was also super delicious.

Y completamos comprando torta de chocolate, quesillo (Flan de caramelo) y algunos vinos y otros licores para brindar después de la cena. Sinceramente fue un trabajo en equipo por que todos aportamos un poquito.

And we finished off by buying chocolate cake, quesillo (caramel flan) and some wines and other liquors to toast after dinner. Sincerely it was a team effort because we all contributed a little bit.

La pequeña de la casa la vestimos como un regalito literalmente, se veía muy tierna con su ropa navideña y lo mas increíble es que estuvo tranquila gran parte de la noche, hasta que por un momento si comenzó a llorar pero mas que todo por hambre.
Luego estuvo súper tranquila con nosotros toda la noche, tomamos varias fotos antes de comenzar la cena por que aun faltaban calentar las hallacas.

The little one of the house we dressed her as a gift literally, she looked very cute with her Christmas clothes and the most incredible thing is that she was quiet most of the night, until for a moment she started to cry but mostly because she was hungry.
Then she was super quiet with us all night, we took several pictures before starting dinner because we still had to heat the hallacas.

Momento de la cena, mi tía dio las gracias por la cena y comenzamos. Después de eso toco el brindis y yo no estaba muy seguro de esto la verdad 🤣🤣🤣, pero si tomé aguardiente amarillo con mis primos y luego bacardi una combinación muy mala pero la soporte.

Time for dinner, my aunt said thank you for dinner and we started. After that I touched the toast and I was not very sure about this the truth 🤣🤣🤣🤣, but I did drink yellow schnapps with my cousins and then bacardi a very bad combination but I endured it.

Para la noche del 25, fuimos un rato al parque para seguir compartiendo, hicimos un pequeño recorrido por las iglesias y luego fuimos a comer helados, había mucha gente en la calle. Ademas de eso fuimos a un lugar especial del pueblito, donde encontraron artesanías indígenas y lo dejaron como un pequeño mini museo, aquí estaban construyendo la calle pero al excavar se percataron de esto, y cerraron el túnel y dejaron la obra hasta allí.

For the night of the 25th, we went to the park for a while to continue sharing, we did a little tour of the churches and then we went to eat ice cream, there were many people in the street. Besides that we went to a special place in the village, where they found indigenous handicrafts and left it as a small mini museum, here they were building the street but when they were digging they realized this, and closed the tunnel and left the work until there.

Terminamos el recorrido en la iglesia de cristal que estaba cerrada y luego nuevamente fuimos al parque, alli esperamos taxi y nos fuimos.

We finished the tour at the glass church which was closed and then we went back to the park, waited for a cab and left.

Dos noches increíbles, compartiendo en familia riendo y recordando anécdotas viejas, no hubieron muchas lagrimas, pero me imagino que el 31 si, y ademas llamadas a la familia la cual tenemos a varios kilómetros de distancia.
Me despido, feliz navidad para todos.

Two incredible nights, sharing with family laughing and remembering old anecdotes, there were not many tears, but I imagine that on the 31st if, and also calls to the family which we have several miles away.
