Hey amigos que tal están?, les cuento que hace unos 3 meses aproximadamente compramos una antena de Starlink, que es como muchos lo mencionan el internet satelital mas rápido del mundo y el mejor en algunos casos. Pues la verdad es que después que compramos el kit estándar y la antena de segunda generación ahora si tenemos una buena comunicación con mi familia en el campo, pues allá no hay proveedores de internet convencional, no hay empresas que reenvíen señal a través de repetidoras y tampoco hay acceso a fibra, muchas personas optaron por traer antenas de Colombia del proveedor Huges Net, pero siendo sinceros ese internet es pésimo, sin embargo solventa lo de mantenerse comunicados pero solo eso.

Hey friends how are you, I tell you that about 3 months ago we bought a Starlink antenna, which is as many mention the fastest satellite internet in the world and the best in some cases. Well the truth is that after we bought the standard kit and the second generation antenna now we have a good communication with my family in the countryside, because there are no conventional internet providers, there are no companies that forward signal through repeaters and there is no access to fiber, many people chose to bring antennas from Colombia Huges Net provider, but to be honest that internet is lousy, however solves the problem of staying connected but only that.

Acá les quiero contar mi experiencia con el Starlink y la verdad es que no tengo quejas en lo absoluto.
Compramos el Starlink mini y también lo pusimos a prueba.

We bought the Starlink mini and we also put it to the test.

El Kit Estándar lo compramos en tiendas Daka, con un precio de 650$, para mi muy exagerado la verdad, pero teniendo en cuenta las prohibiciones actuales por los temas políticos me imagino que eso hace que se aprovechen, también he visto personas que los venden en 700-900$ que es mucho mas exagerado pues la verdad es muy fácil de solicitar por internet, solo hay que tener un familiar en un país vecino que pueda recibir el paquete, como Colombia o Brasil por ejemplo.
Si lo compramos por la pagina oficial serian unos 380$ aproximadamente incluyendo el adaptador (que aca venden solo por 75-80$).

Precisamente lo compramos por que la verdad sentíamos que era muy necesario, ya que las personas que cuentan con internet cerca de la casa de mi abuela en el campo tienen Huges Net, que es un internet satelital prepagado, la mensualidad es 60$ pero son 150GB para usar de día y 200GB para usar de noche, y tiene WhatsApp liberado.
Pero sinceramente eso para mi es muy poco, yo solo uso en mi casa minino 35-40Gb, imaginen 20 personas mas que van a conectarse, en unos 10 días máximo te quedas sin Gb, y además es de 10mb de subida y 1mb de bajada, lo cual es nada y es imposible cargar videos medianamente rápido.

But honestly that for me is too little, I only use in my house minino 35-40Gb, imagine 20 more people who are going to connect, in about 10 days maximum you run out of Gb, and also is 10mb upload and 1mb download, which is nothing and it is impossible to load videos moderately fast.

Starlink nos ofrece entre 100-200mb de subida y entre 50-120mb de bajada, para mi esta excelente, luego de cómpralos al día siguiente lo probamos.

La configuración es muy sencilla, la antena es mecánica por lo cual al conectarse ella misma se ubicara mirando a los satélites, ya allí simplemente de conectas y colocas el nombre, clave y si quieres dividir las redes 2.4/5G.
Para nuestro caso que no somos residentes de Colombia debíamos cambiar de plan, que sirve para usar la antena en cualquier parte del mundo, el plan se llama Itinerante y tiene un costo de 86$ al cambio de COP, lo bueno es que al afiliar una tarjeta esta mensualidad se descuenta automáticamente cada mes, en este caso utilizamos la de mi hermano.

For our case that we are not residents of Colombia we had to change the plan, which serves to use the antenna anywhere in the world, the plan is called Itinerant and has a cost of $ 86 at COP exchange rate, the good thing is that by affiliating a card this monthly fee is automatically deducted each month, in this case we used my brother's card.

Probando la señal, es un poco inestable pero muy buena, recibimos desde 120-200mb.

Una semana después de configurarlo lo llevamos al campo, en uno de mis días libres, allí lo instale simplemente conectamos la antena y listo ella se movió en dirección a los satélites y comenzamos a tener una excelente señal.
Tanto así que las videollamadas no tenían delay, simplemente es como si estuviésemos frente a frente.

A week after configuring it we took it to the field, on one of my days off, there I installed it, we simply connected the antenna and ready, it moved in the direction of the satellites and we began to have an excellent signal.
So much so that the video calls had no delay, it was as if we were face to face.

Ubicar la antena en un buen sitio que no tuviera obstrucciones por arboles si se nos hizo un poco complicado, la movimos de lugar 3 veces, hasta que en uno de ellos vimos que estaba perfecta, el cable alcanzaba para colocar el router en un lugar céntrico y que todos tuvieran señal.

Locating the antenna in a good place that was not obstructed by trees was a bit complicated, we moved it 3 times, until in one of them we saw that it was perfect, the cable was enough to place the router in a central location and that everyone had a signal.

Para mejorar mucho mas la señal, compramos un extensor de señal, que amplia en un rango de 30mts a la redonda, y ahora la señal llega demasiado lejos, muy genial por que sigue siendo la misma señal recibida por al antena, nadie tiene quejas. Y pro su puesto cuando todos comenzaron a saber que teníamos este internet, comenzaron a ir personas allá para comunicarse, hacer transferencias y están cómodos por que pueden estar en sitios alejados y tener buena señal.
Además en las otras casas que tenían internet, abusaban de ello y cobraban hasta 10$ por afiliar el teléfono, básicamente querían comerciar con eso, aparte te cobraban la hora utilizada, acá no lo hacemos así, simplemente pagas una mensualidad y como el internet es ilimitado puedes usarlo a la hora que quieras, la mensualidad es de 5$ y hay 15 personas que la pagan, con eso no tenemos un gasto al 100% del plan de Starlink.

To improve the signal much more, we bought a signal extender, which extends in a range of 30mts around, and now the signal reaches too far, very great because it is still the same signal received by the antenna, no one has complaints. And of course when everyone started to know that we had this internet, people started to go there to communicate, make transfers and they are comfortable because they can be in remote places and have a good signal.
Also in the other houses that had internet, they abused it and charged up to 10$ to affiliate the phone, basically they wanted to trade with that, besides they charged you per hour used, here we do not do it that way, you simply pay a monthly fee and as the internet is unlimited you can use it at the time you want, the monthly fee is 5$ and there are 15 people who pay it, with that we do not have an expense to 100% of the Starlink plan.

Y bueno ahora sinceramente mejoramos la comunicación en un 80%, además de eso sirve para todo, descargan películas, música, realizan transferencias, hablan con sus familiares en la ciudad, van a distraerse despeas de trabajar de todo. Incluso dicen que no es un buen internet para jugar, pero la verdad a mi me sirvió y sin problema alguno.
Hasta ahora hemos tenido máximo 28 teléfonos conectados al mismo tiempo y la verdad es que no se siente un cambio en la velocidad, por eso nadie tiene quejas y cada día mas personas se acercan.

And well now sincerely improve communication by 80%, besides that serves for everything, download movies, music, make transfers, talk to their families in the city, go to distract despeas to work everything. They even say that it is not a good internet to play, but the truth is that it worked for me without any problem.
So far we have had a maximum of 28 phones connected at the same time and the truth is that we do not feel a change in speed, so no one has complaints and every day more people are coming.

Ahora el kit mini, recibe entre 50-100gb, este será para uno de mis tíos, que tiene un grupo familiar amplio, es mucho mejor la antena grande pero esta tambien funciona.

Así que en mi experiencia si necesitan internet en algún lugar que el cual el internet convencional no funcione, compren Starlink lo recomiendo 100% y no tengo queja alguna con ello.
