Best weekend - I was at the Hive Spain Meetup.
Hey friends, how are you?
This weekend has been completely different for me, a combination of stressful, fun and varied. It's also amazing how it went by super fast, maybe because I was always busy with something and literally my mind was distracted from it.
One of the coolest things was undoubtedly being able to share in the Meetup here in Madrid, and this was possible thanks to @ninaeatshere who was responsible for notifying the hivers here and that of course they were available, I sincerely doubted to go until late at night I was the last to arrive and I missed 6 hours of conversation and feedback from the blog.
Well as usual my Saturday starts with work and more work, of course the morning shift, party and night shift. But I like the hours of 10am - 1pm because I am once again practicing my latte art in coffee and in addition to that we add that there are new customers, so I try to give another presentation and a different plus to the coffees that are served here.
The truth is that many people tell me “no foam uncle” and others like it and like it, however some are better than others but taking into account that it is not a specialty coffee shop and I don't have the instruments I need, the truth is not so bad.
We got home to take kratos for a walk, but with the good weather I saw him sunbathing so relaxed that I didn't want to bother him, but I had to do it even if it made him uncomfortable😂.
Next stop the kitchen and as usual a little bit of gym, in which we are progressing super fast, super happy for the result, to gain weight and change my lifestyle here. Besides that we are eating a bit healthier, salads, fruits and vegetables.
Well the rest of the day was more of the same as in the morning, work, cook and the truth is that it was a super busy day, for a moment I had 40 or 50 people on the premises.
I also made a portion of grilled ear, which is the second time I make it and I kept asking the customer how it was and what could be improved, and the good thing was that he told me it was 10/10.
The really interesting thing was on Sunday, I had already planned to leave at 5pm to Madrid center to meet @ninaeatshere, @danavilar, @stefy.music, @enraizar, @critic-on for the impromptu Meetup that we made a small group of people.
To my luck I stayed 2h unplanned at work, because a super big table of 12 people had a celebration.
A To that we add that I cut my finger (literally after checking me I see that it was deep) with the ham slicer, when I went out to the meeting place I ran into 2 delays of train and subway, then I took the bus in the opposite direction and finally arrived at the site.
To bad of it all they had already talked and finalized that plan 😂😂, I was super late I think it was 9pm but they still waited for me.
I arrived at the right place but well everyone was already on their way out, there they went to root and criticize-on, but the rest of the guys and I went to another place, there we talked a little more about hive, personal things, some jokes, jokes, the truth super amazing people that I'm glad to have met for having in common being Hivers.
And I sincerely appreciate a lot that they waited for me.
Hey by the way walking to the subway, they started to take a picture of the moon and Stefy's phone literally focuses on it, it was funny to see how the rest of the phones only had a light bulb on.
In “Solo de croquetas” we tried 3 different flavors, something new for me but it was delicious especially the oreo dessert croquette that Nina invited me, although I was not very convinced it was delicious. Besides that I could not leave without having a beer that she also invited me, and then from here it was time to go back home, it was 11:30pm and I was literally 2 hours away from home 😂, so a very positive point of Madrid is to have transportation until 1am.
Anyway we already had 2h talking here, getting to know each other a little bit and we agreed to meet up later, for a Meet up 2.0.
And by the way, I came back with gifts, bracelets and stickers.
So far the most amazing weekend I had, the best thing was the activity with the kids and being able to share with them I also appreciate it a lot and I hope that in the next one more people will join and it will be with more anticipation.

Ambos son super panas, una lástima que con enraizar hable poco, porque cada vez que yo llegaba él se tenía que ir. Personas encantadoras la verdad me la pasé super bien

Sabes que no debería excusarte 😂, estabas super cerca de donde vivo, cerca de Villa V. Además no me trajiste mi imán para la nevera.
Pero que va entiendo lo super mega cansado que es el viaje hasta acá, y luego viajar al día siguiente de nuevo, pero nada ya se dará la oportunidad pronto, en lo que visites Madrid nuevamente o en lo que yo puedo ir por los países nórdicos.

The Spaniards eats 👂 as well? I notice many Spanish ingredients are very similar to the Chinese. I must try to find them in a restaurant next time I'm in Spain
The ear is one of their tapas or main dishes, I personally don't like it. But most people eat this dish, depending on the place they add garlic-parsley sauce, oregano, hot sauce.
They also usually eat it in sauce with onion and other spices.
And other dishes, lacón a la gallega, cayos a la madrileña (basically the stomach of the cow cooked with chickpeas), panceta, bacon, something called "cachopo" have many things.
If you are ever in Madrid let me know, I will be happy to give you a tour.
I actually looked up a recipe for it last night and I might try it sometime, it sounds tastier than the version we usually cook which is braised.

Espero igual que pronto nos veamos de nuevo, en un grupo más grande, el mismo o los que puedan la verdad fue el mejor fin de semana por ese encuentro y el lunes para mí fue igual de genial. Igual también ya luego me voy poniendo al día con las cositas que hablaron ustedes, ya me activo un poco más y seguimos viendo que apoyar.
Por acá bienvenida cuando quieras y si es de probar algo de comida, ojalá y me quede bien.
