Divine Shield: A Second Chance in Battle!
Divine Shield:
Divine Shield is an ability that blocks all damage from a single instance of attack, no matter how powerful it is. Once the damage is negated, the shield disappears.
This makes it one of the most versatile defensive abilities, providing units with a temporary layer of invincibility, ideal for protecting key assets and disrupting enemy strategies.
Best cards that have Divine Shield
For me these are the strongest cards that this ability has, so if you want to make use of the great ability you should have at least one of these cards in your deck.
Remarkable Interactions
Retaliatory Abilities:
- Abilities like Blast, Return Fire, Thorns, Magic Reflect, Corrosive Ward, and Backfire can all count as the “first attack” to remove Divine Shield.
Resurrection Synergy:
- When a unit with Divine Shield is resurrected, the shield is restored, granting them another chance to block damage.
Notable Rulesets:
Retaliatory Abilities:
Born Again:
- All units gain the Rebirth ability, allowing them to self-resurrect once.
- Divine Shield is automatically reapplied upon resurrection, giving your units even more survivability.
Explosive Weaponry:
- Units with Blast can remove the Divine Shield of adjacent units through splash damage.
- Use this to break multiple shields at once or defend against it with careful placement.
Notable Abilities to Watch For:
While Divine Shield negates damage, it does not protect against certain effects or abilities:
Poison:
- Units can still be poisoned, even if the first attack triggers Divine Shield.
Shatter:
- Armor can be removed by Shatter, bypassing Divine Shield entirely.
Affliction:
- Healing abilities are disabled if a unit is afflicted, even if it still has Divine Shield.
Dispel:
- If an attack includes Dispel, the Divine Shield will be removed by the damage, not the Dispel effect itself.
Notable Summoners with Divine Shield
Eternal Tofu:
A legendary summoner from the Rebellion set, Eternal Tofu can grant Divine Shield to three units, alongside Corrosive Ward for additional protection against armor-heavy teams.
Best Use: Extend the survivability of fragile or high-value units while disrupting enemy armor strategies.
Lorna Shine:
- With a low mana cost of just 3, Lorna Shine provides all friendly units with Divine Shield, giving your team a critical advantage in avoiding early damage.
- Best Use: Ideal for lower leagues where a free damage block can shift momentum in your favor.
My favorite card with Triage:
What I like about Epona is that her mana consumption is low, only 1, for what she buffs to attack with her 4 great abilities, she is a very strong card, to always consider having her in our deck..
Notable Units with Divine Shield

- Divine Sorceress (Level 1): Perfect for magic-focused strategies.
- Bila the Radiant (Level 2): A resilient Life Unit with excellent utility.
- Pelacor Conjurer (Level 7): A budget-friendly and versatile choice with high survivability.
