UI update to battle screen, and meta changes to Bloodlust/Dispel
31st January 2023.
The season has ended.
The old has passed and the new is here.
Splinterlands surprised us with a UI update to the battle screen.
We can filter our cards by:
Both foil types or only gold foil.
Individual mana count filters monsters up to 9.
"No attack" is an attack type now.
First Impression
I love the "No attack" filter because it is incredibly convenient.
It's something that you never thought you needed until you have it.
On the other hand, the additional "8 and 9 mana" filter feels very foreign to me right now.
I'm used to clicking "7+" to look for my behemoth monsters to fill up high mana matches.
Now I need to click "10+", and realise I have close to none of them in my deck and click through "9 and 8" to discover what is available.
You can just simply click all three of these options to get what we used to have, but this definitely needs a lot of getting used to.
Take note!
The meta changes to the gameplay has already arrived.
I had a Reverse Speed match where my Bloodlust monsters were gaining speed every kill, which made them miss a lot of attacks.
The nerfs to Bloodlust has arrived, and most likely the buffs to Dispel as well.
I don't really see much Dispel in Gold League, so I will need to keep an eye on that.
Keep track of the meta updates to gameplay to play your best matches in Splinterlands moving forward!
