Developing Your Craft
Some people are gifted and can create skilled work because of their gift. They touch a piece of paper with a pen or pencil and a masterpiece flows from their fingers.
Those people are the exception rather than the rule. The large majority of people, myself included, have to spend years developing their craft. Practice makes perfect often came out of Mom's mouth all of the years of my youth.
I'm so grateful to my parents who cared enough to remind me not to give up on my art and writing. I exercised my writing gift and art gift growing up and gained valuable experience and education. I'm not selling any of my writing or art for money anywhere except for the hive I earn. I'm inclined to share freely with an appreciative crowd who like my art, poetry or writing.
Are you developing a craft or multiple crafts? "We are our own worst enemy" is a often quoted, and for good cause. The one thing that can arrest our development, apart from an external change in circumstances, is the mental barrier we create when er doubt our ability to learn and increase in skill.
Let this be a message of encouragement to you to persevere at your present skill. Look back and review what you've already accomplished and congratulate yourself for how far you've come! Don't let a bad day or set back keep you from going back to try again at that stopping point.
Share your victories to someone today!

Look back and review what you've already accomplished and congratulate yourself for how far you've come Everyone can benefit from this. People would be happier with themselves if they did this.
I agree! We often focus on our failures and lose track of our many victories. Thanks for reading ❤️
I am so glad you are sharing your craft with us here on Hive.
Now that I am retired, I have lots of time to go back to use the skills I learned and developed all those years.

I am one who is compelled to share even if I want to stay silent. I think you may understand what I'm sharing. Thank you for dropping in.
