A Trip to the Local Fair
We were able to see the draught horse teams competition on our way out of the fairgrounds
Somehow summer came and now it's looking like fall is set to replace it. This week was the much anticipated local fair. Wednesday we took four grandkids and ate ridiculously expensive fair food and walked through horse, sheep, pig and goat barns. The kids wanted to ride the fair rides, but for $20 for access to a few rides who would want to? We didn't come to the fair prepared with that much cash for the three little ones to eat plus ride. My oldest granddaughter found a face painting booth and two of the three little ones had animals painted on their arms.
The first animals we saw entering the fairgrounds were these two freshly washed mules
The food and horses are the best things about the fair in my opinion. Unfortunately, the end of the fair signals the end of good weather and the beginning of school for kids. Today was 87 degrees and an unseasonably warm and humid day.
I love petting the pygmy goats
I hope you are all doing well and thank you for stopping by.
