Exploring the Enchanting Jal Mahal and Sheesh Mahal.

Today, I'm really excited to share with you the amazing Sheesh Mahal , also called the glass palace and Jal Mahal, which is located in Pinjore Garden.

As we crossed the banquet hall, we were greeted by the the Sheesh Mahal.

This single-storeyed building with a Bengal Dhari canopy on its terrace forms a viewing gallery, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. The central space of the Sheesh Mahal is arcaded on all four sides, with windows in the eastern space overlooking the second enclosure, known as the Purdah Garden. The gentle flow of water beneath the building adds to its charm, cascading down to the next terrace. Below the Sheesh Mahal lies the Chini Khana, from where the water flows to the lower levels.

The details mentioned above were written on a board placed outside the Sheesh Mahal. They gave us a glimpse into the amazing architecture and rich history of the palace. But before I show you some lovely pictures of the Jal Mahal, let me show some photographs of the Jal Mahal and Sheesh Mahal from the banquet hall.

I took a photo from there, and although the Sheesh Mahal appeared small in the picture, it looked so beautiful. This only increased our excitement as we headed towards the palace to explore it further.

When we arrived at the Jal Mahal, we saw that it was surrounded by water, making it a peaceful and beautiful sight. The only way to get inside the palace was through a narrow pathway, with windows and doors all around. The palace itself was only one floor and was open for us to explore.

As we stepped into the Jal Mahal, we were amazed by what we saw. The inside was decorated with intricate designs, and the sunlight shining through the windows created a stunning display of colors. The view from inside the Jal Mahal, looking towards the back of the banquet hall, was like a beautiful painting come to life. You can see it in the photograph below.


After exploring the Jal Mahal, we walked towards the end of the garden.

Along the way, we found a food court .

And some beautiful flowers which was planted at the corner of the garden.

When we reached the end, we saw a charming scene—a child playing near the bridges over the water stream.

Even though there wasn't much water, the bridges in the garden were made beautifully, making the place even more attractive.

They were decorated with lovely white and green colors, which matched the trees and nature around them. Some parts of the bridges were wooden, while others were made of steel.
When we reached the end of the garden, we saw big walls surrounding it. You can check out some photos below.

And after that we decided to go back to the starting point of the garden.
