A Decision Has to Be Made

I have had these packs sitting unopened in my game for a while now.

But with all the talk about it between the pimp discord weekly show and then Ecency's Hive Humpday Hangout, I thought I would pop in and see what is going on with the game. After opening these packs I went in to see if I could win anything. All I got for the two hours I tried to play was the ever present waiting screen.

Then I was told in the HHH after show the only thing players win from rank battles anymore is glint and maybe some sps. There is no more cards and dec.

To me it is a sad day when a game with such beautiful playing pieces changes so much that one can no longer earn good rewards from a non-guild battle. I was never into guilds anyway so do not know if there is much benefit from them for players who are not into that kind of thing.

I have rented cards out in the past but I'm wondering if it is still worth it just to earn a few dec I may not use for anything. And do not get me started on the price of sps. When I first noticed I was getting this token there was six months to go before the airdrops stopped. At that time the few sps I had was worth 500.00 USD. I now have just over 2000 and the value is around 13.00 USD.

I asked the question in HHH after show how many tokens does this game have and the answer I got was "TOO MANY"

Splinterlands was a good game when I first started playing but it has changed so much that it seems even more unplayable now. How many people are still playing this game?

I have so many questions I feel I may never get straight answers to. My biggest at this point, especially with the threat that splinterlands may move to another chain is, is it worth staying for and if the game does move to another chain will it be like a rug pull? If so will anyone continue to play after such an action?

Please do not down vote me for voicing my thoughts. The game seems to get more technical and complicated with every change made.
