like always I was struggling with motivation to create another post. But I hope that today's story will make up for the waiting 📷
I would like you to present a really mystical story of fungi growing in our forests 🌲🌳

Mycelium, the intricate and often overlooked network beneath our feet, is the silent architect of the forest floor. This vast underground web, composed of thread-like structures, weaves through the soil, connecting trees and plant this peculiar symbiosis.

Grzybnia, skomplikowana i często niedoceniana sieć pod naszymi stopami, to cichy architekt leżący u podstaw lasu. Ta rozległa podziemna sieć, składająca się z nitkowatych struktur, przeplata się przez glebę, łącząc drzewa i rośliny w szczególnej symbiozie.

In Peter's Wohlleben book he describes mycelium as a plant internet where whole continents are connected. This underground network not only aids in the survival of individual trees but fosters a cooperative and interconnected community in the forest.

W książce Petera Wohllebena opisuje on mycelium jako sieć internetowa roślin, gdzie całe kontynenty są ze sobą połączone. Ta podziemna sieć nie tylko pomaga w przeżyciu pojedynczych drzew, ale także sprzyja współpracy i wzajemnej pomocy roślinej społeczności w lesie.

I'm no mycologist myself so I struggle with recognizing most species of mushroom's. Depicted above I cannot recognize so is probably not edible. Gills, colour, shape and size does not ring any bells in my head or my fiancé. So best is to leave it be ;-)

Nie jestem zapalony mykologiem, nadal mam trudności rozpoznaniem większości grzybów. Przedstawiony wyżej grzyb prawdopodobnie nie jest jadalny. Niestety ani mnie, ani mojej narzeczonej ten kształt,rozmiar,kolor czy blaszki nie kojarzą się z niczym. Najlepiej zostawić go w spokoju ;-)

One thing I know it is not the easiest thing to identify mushroom correctly. The one above is Amanita Muscaria🍄. The most famous mushroom in the world. Here we see he was sun burnt, luckly the white spots have not being washed with the rain. Amanita Musciaria is widely regarded as poisonous mushroom. This is not medical/dietary advice but it is edible. Side effects afte consumption cause hallucinations, feeling that objects have a spirit. It might cause dissociation. I've read it online so all of this might be not be truth.

Jedną rzeczą, którą wiem, jest to, że nie jest łatwo dokładnie zidentyfikować grzyba. Ten powyżej to Muchomor Czerwony🍄, najbardziej znany grzyb na świecie. Tutaj widzimy, że został on spalony słońcem, na szczęście białe plamki nie zmyły się jeszcze od deszczu. Muchomor czerwony jest powszechnie uważany za trujący grzyb. To nie jest porada medyczna, ale jest jadalny. Skutki uboczne po zjedzeniu powodują halucynacje, uczucie, że martwe przedmioty mają duszę. Może wywoływać uczucie oderwania od rzeczywistości. Przeczytałem to online, więc wszystko to może być nieprawdą.

In fungi world many shrooms are trying to look the same - above we see Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca which is trying to look very alike to golden chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius). Which the later one is very very tasty mushroom that starts appearing in forest around August, if the soil moisture enables mycelium growth. Oh after looking for Hygrophoropsis name I found out it is called false chanterelle. So the popular name describes it all :D

W świecie grzybów, czasem owocniki grzybów starają się wyglądać podobnie. Na zdjęciu widzimy lisówkę pomarańczową która próbuje udawać kurki. A wiadomo - kurki to bardzo smaczne grzybki, które możemy znaleść już od sierpnia w naszych lasach. Jeśli warunki pogodowe pozwalają na to.
