Today, July 19, is Myanmar's 77th Martyr's Day.
On the morning of July 19, 1947, the country's leader and the father of independence, General Aung San, were assassinated by a group of miscreants.
That morning at the Interior Minister's office, General Aung San, De Dok U Ba Cho, Mann Ba Khaing, U Ba Win, Thakhin Mya, U Razat, Sus San Tun of Mine Pong Province, U Ohn Maung and Comrade Ko Htwe were having a meeting when they were assassinated by a group of people led by Galun Saw.
Because this was a coup d'état, that day was designated as Martyr's Day.

I don't think that Myanmar would have been in a civil war for more than 70 years if General Aung San, who helped Myanmar gain independence from the British colony at that time, had not been assassinated.
Many ethnicities live in Myanmar, so the great leaders signed the Panglong Treaty so that all ethnicities could live together as equals.
However, after the absence of General Aung San, the military leaders took power and oppressed the ethnic people.

Therefore, Myanmar has been in a civil war for more than 70 years under the junta and has become a poor and failed country.
Millions of people are now united against the last military dictator.
It is believed that in the near future, the People's Spring Revolution will be victorious and a new federal democratic state will be established.

However, today this year, the people are still unable to celebrate Martyr's Day in a crowded manner.

ထိုမနက် အတွင်းဝန်ကြီးများရုံး၌ ဗိုလ်ချုပ်အောင်ဆန်း၊ ဒီးဒုတ် ဦးဘချို၊ မန်းဘခိုင်၊ ဦးဘဝင်း၊ သခင်မြ ၊ ဦးရာဇတ်၊ မိုင်းပွန်စော်ဘွားကြီး စဝ်စံထွန်း၊ ဦးအုန်းမောင် နှင့် ရဲဘော်ကိုထွေး တို့ အစည်းအဝေးပြုလုပ်နေစဉ် ဂဠုန်စော ဦး‌ဆောင်သောလူတစုက လုပ်ကြံသတ်ဖြတ်ခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။
ဤသည်မှာ နိုင်ငံတော်လုပ်ကြံခံရမှု ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ထိုနေ့ကို အာဇာနည်နေ့ အဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

ထိုစဉ်က ဗြိတိသျှကိုလိုနီ လက်အောက်မှ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံကို လွတ်လပ်ရေးရအောင် စွမ်းဆောင်ပေးခဲ့သော ဗိုလ်ချုပ်အောင်ဆန်း သာ လုပ်ကြံမခံခဲ့ရလျှင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် ယခုလို ပြည်တွင်းစစ် နှစ် ၇၀ ကျော် ကြာအောင် ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည် မထင်ပါ။
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၌ တိုင်းရင်းသားလူမျိုးပေါင်းစုံ နေထိုင်ကြသည်ဖြစ်ရာ လူမျိုးအားလုံး တန်းတူညီမျှစွာ အတူပူးပေါင်း နေထိုင်ကြရန် ခေါင်းဆောင်ကြီးများသည် ပင်လုံစာချုပ် ကို ချုပ်ဆိုခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
သို့သော် ဗိုလ်ချုပ်အောင်ဆန်း မရှိတော့သည့်နောက်ပိုင်း စစ်ခေါင်းဆောင်များသည် နိုင်ငံတော်အာဏာကို ရယူကာ တိုင်းရင်းသား ပြည်သူများအပေါ် ဖိနှိပ်အုပ်ချုပ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။

သို့ဖြစ်၍ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် စစ်အစိုးရ လက်အောက်၌ ပြည်တွင်းစစ် နှစ်ပေါင်း ၇၀ ကျော်ကြာ ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ပြီး ဆင်းရဲသော ကျရှုံးနိုင်ငံ ဖြစ်လာခဲ့တော့သည်။
ယခုအခါ ပြည်သူသန်းပေါင်းများစွာသည် နောက်ဆုံးစစ်အာဏာရှင်ကို ညီညွတ်စွာဖြင့် တွန်းလှန်တိုက်ခိုက်နေကြပါသည်။
မကြာသောကာလ၌ ပြည်သူတို့၏ နွေဦးတော်လှန်ရေး အောင်ပွဲရကာ ဖက်ဒရယ်ဒီမိုကရေစီနိုင်ငံတော်သစ် ကို ထူထောင်နိုင်လိမ့်မည်ဟု ယုံကြည်ရပါသည်။

သို့သော် ယခုနှစ် ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ ပြည်သူတွေသည် အာဇာနည်နေ့ အခမ်းအနားကို စည်ကားသိုက်မြိုက်စွာ မကျင်းပနိုင်သေးပါ။
သို့ဖြစ်၍ အာဇာနည်နေ့ ကို ပြည်သူတွေ မမေ့နိုင်ကြောင်း "အလေးပြုပါသည်" သီချင်းကို မျှဝေလိုက်ပါသည်။
