Don't turn your back on low mana cards!
Hello everyone and welcome again!
The battles are on fire! I'm gathering more and more Reward cards, I already have my first bronze level summoner for my games and it's the dragon summoner! I'm very excited, meanwhile the time has come to bring another battle challenge, this time using the splinter vida and one of his most underrated cards, Dax Paragon. Welcome!
In case you don't know it...
Introducing Dax Paragon!
Edition: Chaos Legion.
Rarity: Epic.
Element: Life.
Attack: Magic.
Mana Cost: 2 points.
Abilities:
Amplify at lvl 2
Afliction at lvl 5
An the market cap of this card is:
- 1 BCX of this card in its regular version costs 0.66$ and you can buy a higher level version of 46 BCX for 38.24$.
There are many at the minimum price so it is best to buy them individually right now.
I think its best price window has already passed, like all the other cards in its edition, so this may be the last chance to buy it at these cheap prices.
- 1 gold BCX costs 6.95$, and right now all versions with more than 1 BCX are priced higher than that, so if you want to buy it right now, it is best to do it individually.
How to use Dax Paragon?
This card has very low stats because it is created to be a low mana support card, its importance is not in its damage or stamina but in its ability to support the team to eliminate healing threats and also to give more danger to cards with Torns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire thanks to its Amplify ability. If you combine it with a good tank that has one of these abilities it is a latent danger for any type of enemy, so it is perfect to combine with these two cards:

Mana: 56 points - Silenced Summoners + Healed Out + Aim True
Round 1
I use Shieldbearer as a tank to attract attacks to him with Taunt, so my other cards have more time to do damage.
Time Meddler has very good damage and will serve as a second tank, since the enemy damage is magic my Bearer will not last long, so it is necessary to use more tanks, but that can do damage from the second line.
The same for Djinn Renova, which in addition to increase the life of my cards has a lot of magic damage.
Dax Paragon as the last tank option if necessary.
Pelacor Arbalest as the massive damage, with 4 points of damage per round will surely be the one that will annihilate more enemies.
Lastly, Lone Boatman, I like to use him at the end because he has armor so if by chance my opponent uses Sneak, he will have extra durability.
Round 2
The problem that Obsidian has or rather, their Chaos Legion monsters is that they are too slow and that is a danger when you have faster enemies in front of you, no matter how much damage they have in a single round they can take down the whole team because apart from being slow, most of them have low health. And not being able to heal by the ruleset and not receiving the summoner's damage bonus, it only gets more complicated. It was a failure for my opponent to play magic with so many disadvantages.
Round 3
The advantage in life was crucial here, a difference of 25 to 17 with respect to my opponent, and 12 to 10 points in attack, plus the advantage of having more speed. No attack can be missed by the ruleset so mathematically speaking, I already won this battle.
Round 4
Another important point that I had not taken into account at the beginning was the Lone Boatman's Snipe, necessary to break the armor of Queen Mycelia to the cards before they reached the tank position, so the damage caused by my Pelacor Arbalest went straight to the life of the opponents. I didn't plan that from the beginning and it was a key part of this victory.
Round 5
And that's it, victories are based on details that you define when you are setting up the team for the battle. Think a lot about that.
How was my experience with this card?
This is a card that shines in the moments when it has to and that is excellent, it is usually given little importance to low mana cards but when those battles appear it is very necessary to have options to maneuver and Dax Paragon is one of the best cards to do that, I think you must have it in your deck.
