Hello Hivians. Welcome to my post. Some time ago I read a post about one of the "farming" games (Pixels) and I was interested in playing it again.

"Playing it again"?

Yes, some time ago I tried to play the game (but only the tutorial part), so I didn't understand the whole game. But when I tried to play it again...

I found out that PIXELS needs to be played with the latest version of a Chromium-based browser. I've tried to update the browser to the latest version, but it turns out that the browser (Kiwi and Mises Browser) is still a few versions behind. Maybe I will have to wait at least next month to be able to play Pixels on my smartphone.

While waiting for my browser to be up to the minimum requirement to play Pixels, I played Sunflower Lands. Sunflower Land is also a game I tried a while ago at the same time I tried Pixels. Sunflower Land runs on Polygon while Pixels runs on Ronin.

First Impressions and Progress

For those of you who play this type of game often, you may already know that you can't "make money" on these games right away. We have to "sacrifice" both in terms of time and money if we want our progress to go as we expect.

When I first started playing this game, I could only plant and harvest crops that had a fast planting time but a fairly low sale value. The missions given were also limited because they were hindered by the low level.

Sunflower Land now has 3 currencies (Gems, SFL and Coins). Previously, when I first played this game, the only currency was SFL. And at that time, I immediately exchanged some of my plants for SFL (which was still a small amount because the plants I exchanged were fast-harvesting plants). There are actually several types of missions that can be done in Sunflower Lands, such as deliveries (numbered 9), completing certain objectives (numbered 20), missions with limited rewards (usually per season), and missions for factions (guilds). Rewards include Coins, Horseshoes (limited items this season), SFLs, and Marks (for Factions missions).

In addition to the above, there are several other items (limited and non-limited) that can be collected and exchanged for various in-game items and NFTs.

After about a week of playing Sunflower Land, I'm already at level 13. And for your information, gems can only be obtained by upgrading your land. But this season, you can also get gems by completing certain missions or by exchanging certain items.

The only way to gain experience and raise our level was to eat the food we harvested. In the end, I was forced to make a deposit because the amount of resources I had at that time was quite small, and making a kitchen also required quite a lot of materials. (1 POL can be exchanged for 5.5xx SFL)

Then I bought some materials at a place with this sign (Non-VIPs can only buy 3 and sell 1 per day, so use it wisely).

I also buy materials when I feel that the reward for a successful delivery is quite low compared to the coins spent on the order. For example, in the 1 gold delivery mission above. We will get 4.65 SFL if we can complete the mission (which is less than 800 Coins when converted).

But according to the Official Guide, to make 1 gold, we need more than 1000 coins. So I decided to buy it directly, even though I had to use SFL. They don't sell per unit, so I had to look for the smallest amount of gold so I could use it to buy other materials.

And one more thing, although this game can still be played without buying SFL. You will still need some POL to pay for gas so you can claim the Daily Rewards. In addition to the daily reward, you can look for SHEEP in random places every day and talk to him to get free rewards without the need for a gas fee (most of what I got from him were cakes).
