Social Media Challenge || Testing 2 REBELLION Cards

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

I will share my battles using some Rebellion cards in this post.

Testing 2 REBELLION Cards

Last season, I had the chance to rent several Rebellion Cards to find out their abilities. Unfortunately, I couldn't rent Rebellion Cards in Maximum Level conditions because the rental price was too high and the number of cards for rent was still small. So I decided to choose a Rebellion Card that has a low rental price but already has 2 or 3 abilities.

In this battle, I used Chaos Jailer and Daigendark Hunter*. Both are Rare monsters, but they both have different amounts of Ability.

Chaos Jailer has a total of 4 abilities and all of them can be obtained even at level 5. The reason I use Chaos Jailer is because it reminds me of Deeplurker which is a Chaos Legion Card from Water Element. They both have OPPORTUNITY and POISON abilities, but Deeplurker has an advantage in Attack power.

In addition to the above 2 abilities, Chaos Jailer has the AMBUSH ability that allows him to attack first before the battle begins (and with the POISON ability, he can inflict poison effects on targets before the battle begins). Chaos Jailer also has the SLOW ability which, when combined with Cursed Windeku, reduces the opponent's speed by 2 points.

For Daigendark Hunter, he only has a total of 2 abilities and we can already get it even at level 4. He is equipped with the SNEAK ability at early levels to help other SNEAK monsters defeat their targets. And at level 4, Daigendark Hunter gets SILENCE ability which is useful to add a reduction (again) to the opponent's Magic monster when Corpse Fiend cannot be used due to ruleset restrictions or when we want to reduce the attack power of the opponent's magic monster when Thaddius Brood (as well as other Chaos Legion Summoners) cannot be used in MODERN Ranked Battle later.

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is TIS BUT SCRATCHES (all monsters in the arena receive an additional CRIPPLE ability)

In the first round, my Daigendark Hunter and Uraeus attacked my opponent's Cursed Windeku. Then Daigendark Hunter was defeated by opponent's Silent Sha-vi and Uraeus. Magi Necrosi failed to land his attack on Chaos Agent so he took damage through the BACKFIRE ability possessed by Chaos Agent.

Something similar happened to Ravenhood Warden whose attack did not hit Pelacor Deceiver. He took damage through BACKFIRE, but the difference is that it only damaged his ARMOR. Pelacor Deceiver damaged Cursed Windeku's ARMOR, but he also took damage through THORNS ability. Cursed Windeku countered the attack and successfully hit him. Pelacor Deceiver who received the attack immediately retaliated using the RETALIATE ability, but he lost due to the THORNS ability when making the attack.

The last round attack came from Chaos Jailer who damaged the ARMOR of the opponent's Uraeus but failed to inflict poison effects on him.

In the second round, Silent Sha-vi attacked my Cursed Windeku but he also took damage through his THORNS ability. This time, Magi Necrosi successfully landed an attack and defeated Chaos Agent. My Uraeus attacked the opponent's Cursed Windeku and successfully gave it a poison effect.

The Ravenhood Warden briefly attacked Silent Sha-vi before he was defeated by the opponent's Uraeus. Silent Sha-vi was then defeated by my Cursed Windeku. Meanwhile, the opponent's Cursed Windeku was defeated by the attack launched by Chaos Jailer.

In the last round, my opponent's Uraeus was defeated using my Uraeus. Meanwhile, Magi Necrosi was defeated by my Cursed Wind.

Battle Review

In the previous post, some of my monsters struggled to defeat FLYING monsters. In this battle, Cursed Windeku easily landed its attack on Pelacor Deceiver despite losing the speed advantage and not having the same FLYING ability as him. That allowed my team to win this battle because one of the obstacles was defeated.

For the 2 REBELLION Cards that I used in this battle, they worked quite well. Chaos Jailer who has the AMBUSH ability can directly defeat Corpse Fiend first so that the Attack power of Uraeus can be used to reduce the Health points of the opponent's Cursed Windeku. It also has the SLOW ability to add (again) the speed reduction on the opponent's side that was previously also given by Cursed Windeku. Unfortunately this time, his POISON ability was not active at all (luckily I brought Uraeus who also has POISON ability).

For Daigendark Hunter, he can help Uraeus to conquer the opponent's monster in the last position while giving a debuff to the opponent's Magic monster. Unfortunately, he is not strong enough to be placed in the last position due to the low HP he has and the absence of supporting abilities to protect him from attacks that might be launched by SNEAK opposing monsters.
